「2」 그것이 사실이라는 것은 나도 잘 알고 있다. 그러나 사람이 어떻게 하나님 앞에서 의롭다고 주장할 수 있겠느냐?
「3」 사람이 하나님과 논쟁을 한다고 해도, 그분의 천 마디 말씀에 한 마디도 대답하지 못할 것이다.
「4」 하나님이 전지전능하시니, 그를 거역하고 온전할 사람이 있겠느냐?”

🛑 서론

  • 욥은 아브라함 시대의 인물로, 하나님이 인정하신 의인이었습니다.

  • 그러나 하루아침에 재산, 자녀, 건강을 모두 잃고, 고난 속에서 하나님께 질문합니다:
    “어찌 인생이 하나님 앞에서 의로우랴?” (욥 9:2)

  • 인간의 노력으로는 누구도 하나님 앞에서 의롭다 할 수 없습니다.

💡 메시지

  • 욥의 친구들은 인과응보(retributive justice / you reap what you sow)로 설명했지만, 욥의 고난은 그 틀을 벗어났습니다.

  • 중요한 질문은 “왜 이런 일이 생겼는가?”가 아니라
    “나는 하나님 앞에서 누구인가? 나는 하나님 앞에 어떻게 설 수 있는가?”입니다.

  • 히브리서 9:27 “사람이 한 번 죽는 것은 정해진 일이요, 그 뒤에는 심판이 있습니다.”

  • 욥은 하나님 앞에서 자신의 연약함을 고백하며, 하나님의 은혜만이 자신을 세운다고 인정합니다.

📖 복음의 해답

  • 로마서 1:17, 5:17 — 오직 그리스도 안에서 하나님의 의가 믿는 자에게 선물로 주어집니다.

  • 요한복음 1:12 — 그 이름을 믿는 자들에게 하나님의 자녀가 되는 권세가 주어집니다.

  • 로마서 10:10 — 마음으로 믿어 의에 이르고, 입으로 시인하여 구원에 이릅니다.

“How Can a Mortal Be Righteous Before God?”
(Job 9:1–4)

🛑 Introduction: The Story of Job and Our Big Questions
Dear friends, today we will look closely at a key moment in the book of Job.
Job lived around the time of Abraham — this is why the book of Job is often called a story from the dawn of history.

Who was Job?
He was a man, like Noah or Abraham, whom God raised up as a true worshiper — a man of deep integrity and faith.
And yet, though Job was called “righteous” by God Himself, disaster fell on his life in a single moment.
He lost all his wealth, all his children, and even his health.

Job’s story is not just about a man’s tragedy.
It is a profound story of human questions, of one person standing alone before God, searching for answers.
Job asks the piercing question:
“How can a mortal be righteous before God?” (Job 9:2)

No human effort, no moral achievement, no personal merit can make anyone stand righteous before the holy God.
Job knew this deeply. He lowered himself, seeing his own smallness, saying he was no better than a worm, unable even to lift his head — and yet, he clung to acknowledging God’s presence.

Then Job’s friends arrived. And what did they say?
“Job, you must have done something wrong. You’re being punished.”
His friends were trapped in the mindset of retributive justice — the idea that “If you sin, you are punished; if you are good, you are blessed.”
But Job’s suffering could not be explained by that system.
So Job asked:
“God, why? How can any human stand before You?”

This is the same question that comes to us.
When hardships come — whether big or small — we ask, “Why is this happening?”
But the lesson of Job is this:
Even in the middle of countless questions, a human must stand as a solitary soul before God.
We must come to the place where we confess who God truly is.

💡 Change the Question
The Bible is not simply a book explaining the system of “you reap what you sow.”
We need to change our question.
Instead of asking, “Why did this happen to me?”,
we should ask,
“Who am I before God?”
“Can I stand before Him?”
“Am I living in right relationship with God?”
“On what basis can I continue walking with Him and living in fellowship with Him?”

The Bible says,
(Hebrews 9:27) “It is appointed for people to die once — and after this, judgment.”
We will all one day stand before God.
And even now, in the daily moments of life, we are living before Him, in relationship with Him.

Job opened his heart in the midst of his pain.
He acknowledged his weakness and confessed God’s power, not boasting in his own goodness but recognizing that only by God’s grace could he stand.
Life is something we can stand in only because of God’s grace.

📖 The Righteousness of God
The New Testament gives us the final and complete answer.
Romans 1:17 — “For in the gospel, the righteousness of God is revealed — a righteousness that is by faith from first to last…”
Romans 5:17 — “How much more will those who receive God’s abundant provision of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man, Jesus Christ!”

The absolute righteousness Job longed for — that no human could achieve — is now given as a gift through Jesus Christ.
● To all who receive Him, to those who believe in His name, He gives the right to become children of God.
● It is with the heart that one believes and is justified, and with the mouth that one confesses and is saved.
● We are saved by grace, through faith — this is not from ourselves; it is the gift of God, not by works, so that no one can boast.
● The righteous will live by faith.

We can never stand before God on the basis of our own righteousness.
We stand before God only through the righteousness given to us in Christ.

🙋 To VIP Guests and Newcomers
Do you feel like you can’t yet stand before God?
Do you think, “I’m not ready. I’m not good enough for God”?
Today, hear the good news: God has opened the way for you to be made right with Him through Jesus Christ.
Cling to Him in faith.

Pray:
“Lord, I cannot stand by my own strength. Cover me with the righteousness of Jesus.”
Your salvation does not depend on your achievements.
God sees you only through the perfect righteousness of Christ.
Open your heart today, receive Jesus as the Lord of your life, and walk in fellowship with Him each day.

🙌 To Leaders and Believers
Dear leaders and fellow believers,
Even in our small acts of service and faithfulness, we must remember:
We are standing only before God.
Our ministry, our service, is not about proving our righteousness but about living in the grace that God has already given.
Let us stand before God alone — giving Him the glory, walking in His grace.

✨ Conclusion
Today, God asks each of us:
“Who will you stand before Me as?
Will you stand by your own strength?”
Friends, we can never stand on our own.
We can only stand because of the righteousness of Jesus Christ.
Today, let us return to that grace.

🙏 Closing Prayer
“Lord, I am a sinner.
I cannot stand before You on my own, but I thank You that You cover me with the righteousness of Jesus.
Break my pride, free me from relying on my own efforts,
and help me to stand by grace alone, fixing my eyes only on Jesus.
Today, help newcomers open their hearts to receive You,
and help believers to rededicate themselves before Your Word.
In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.”

1. 설교 도입

  • 요셉 이야기: 형들에 의해 노예로 팔리고, 보디발 집에서 충성했지만 누명 쓰고 감옥행.

  • 그러나 요셉은 감옥에서도 낙심하지 않고 맡겨진 일을 신실히 감당함.

  • 간수장이 그를 신뢰하여 모든 죄수들을 맡김 (창 39:22–23).

  • 그는 결국 애굽의 총리로 세워짐.

  • 하나님은 작은 일에 충성된 자에게 큰 일을 맡기신다.

2. 본문 연결 – 달란트 비유

  • 마태복음 25:21
    “착하고 충성된 종아 (신실한 종아), 네가 작은 일에 충성하였으매 내가 많은 것을 네게 맡기리니, 네 주인의 즐거움에 참여할지어다.”

  • 큰 일 = “하나님의 일” 입니다.

    하나님은 작은 일에 충성하는 자에게 하나님의 일을 맡깁니다.

2-1. 부산에서 만난 작은 신실함

  • 지난 4월, 부산에서 목회하는 친구의 교회를 방문함.

  • 예배 후 모든 교인이 떠난 뒤에도 끝까지 남아 뒷정리하던 한 부부.

  • 친구 목사의 말: “저분들은 매주 이렇게 마지막까지 남아 섬겨.”

  • 마음속에 들려온 하나님의 음성:
    “나는 온 땅을 두루 다니며 충성된 사람을 찾아 교회에 심는다.”

3. 작은 일의 특징

  • 세상 눈에는 작은 일로 보이거나 다른 사람의 눈에는 안보인다.

  • 사람의 인정이 아닌, 하나님만 보시는 자리로 나아가게 한다.

  • 하나님이 배우라고 허락하신 훈련의 기회다.

  • 하나님이 복을 주시려고 준비하신 축복의 길이다.

  • 순종과 섬김을 연습할 수 있는 실천의 자리다.

4. 작은 일에 신실하려면

✅ 1) 배우려는 마음을 가져야 한다 (Be teachable)

  • 하나님의 사람들은 억울한 상황에서도 불평하지 않고, 그것을 하나님이 주신 훈련의 자리로 삼음.

  • 2가지 질문
    첫째, “하나님, 이 일에서 저에게 무엇을 가르치고 계십니까?” (“하나님, 제가 이 일을 통하여 무엇을 배우길 원하십니까?”)

    두번째, “하나님, 이 일을 통해 우리 교회에게 무엇을 가르치고 계십니까? (“우리 워십프론티어 교회가 무엇을 배우길 원하십니까?”)

  • [요셉]  “하나님, 이 감옥에서 저에게 무엇을 가르치고 계십니까?”  (감옥에서 죄수로)

  • [다윗]  “하나님, 이 들판에서 제가 배우길 원하는 것은 무엇입니까?” (들판에서 양치는 목동으로)

✅ 2) 맡겨진 구체적인 임무를 성실히 수행해야 한다

  • 요셉은 감옥에서도 리더의 신뢰를 얻고, 맡은 죄수들을 끝까지 책임짐. (목자, 팀리더)

  • 작은 자리에서도 최선을 다하는 자를 하나님은 쓰신다.

✅ 3) 날마다 하나님 앞에 경건의 시간 (QT)를 갖고 경건한 태도를 유지해야 한다

  • 요셉은 하나님과의 관계를 포기하지 않음.

  • 감옥에서도 하나님을 의식하며 살았기에, 총리 자리에 올라서도 교만하지 않음.

  • (시 105:19, 개정) “곧 여호와의 말씀이 응할 때까지라 그의 말씀이 그를 단련하였도다”

  • (시 105:19, 새번역) “마침내 그의 예언은 이루어졌다. 주님의 말씀은 그의 진실을 증명해 주었다.”

  • (Ps 105:19, NIV11) “till what he foretold came to pass, till the word of the Lord proved him true.”

5. 적용

  • 나는 교회와 삶의 자리에서 맡겨진 작은 일에 충성하고 있는가?

  • 나는 교회 안에서, 혹은 삶의 자리에서, 누구도 보지 않는 작은 일에 신실한 사람인가?

  • 보이지 않는 곳에서의 충성이 하나님께 인정받는 큰 믿음이 된다.

  • 작은 충성을 통해 하나님은 교회를 세우시고, 나를 빚으신다.

6. 결론

  • 하나님은 오늘도 우리 각자에게 물으신다:
    “너는 작은 일에 신실한 종이냐?”

  • 요셉처럼 억울한 자리, 작고 하찮은 자리에서도 충성하는 자를
    하나님은 언젠가 높이시고, 주인의 즐거움에 참여하게 하신다.

"God's Will to Give trivial tasks": The Faithful Servant God Lifts Up”

Introduction

Brothers and sisters, today I want to speak to you about something that touches every part of our Christian life: small things.

We often look for the big moments, the big breakthroughs, the big ministries.
But God — our God — delights in small things.

He watches how we handle the little, ordinary, hidden tasks.
He watches how we serve when no one else is looking.
And it’s in these small moments that He shapes us and prepares us for something greater.

Main Scripture

Let’s look first at Genesis 39:20–23.
We find Joseph in prison. Not because he did wrong, but because he was falsely accused.
If anyone had a right to be angry, to give up, to stop caring — it was Joseph.

But Scripture says that Joseph served faithfully, even in prison.
The warden trusted him. Joseph became responsible for the prisoners.
And why? Because Joseph knew something we all need to remember:
Faithfulness in small things matters to God.

Linking to the Parable of the Talents

Jesus tells us the same in Matthew 25:21.
“‘Well done, good and faithful servant! You were faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master’s happiness.’”

Did you hear that?
Not, “Well done, successful servant.”
Not, “Well done, talented servant.”
But: faithful servant.

God is looking for faithfulness — not perfection, not performance, not applause.
He’s asking: will you be faithful with the little He gives you?
Because when you are, He promises:
“I will give you more. I will invite you to share in My joy.”

A Real Story of Faithfulness

Let me tell you a small but powerful story.

This past April, I visited a pastor friend’s church in Busan, Korea.
After worship, everyone had left — except one couple.
They were quietly staying behind, putting away chairs, cleaning the room.

The pastor leaned over and whispered,
“They do this every Sunday. They are always the last ones to leave, serving quietly.”

And at that moment, I felt the Lord whisper in my heart:
“I search the earth for faithful people like them, and I plant them in My church.”

What they were doing may seem small to human eyes, but it was shining brightly in God’s eyes.

The Nature of Small Things

Small things often go unnoticed.
They don’t impress people.
They rarely bring you applause or titles.

But they are precious to God because they test the heart.
In small things, God trains you.
In small things, God prepares you for blessing.
In small things, God gives you a chance to practice obedience, to practice servanthood.

How to Be Faithful in Small Things

First, be teachable.
When you face difficult or unfair moments, don’t fall into complaint.
Ask, “Lord, what are You teaching me here?”
Ask, “Lord, what are You teaching our church in this season?”

Remember Joseph in prison:
“Lord, what are You teaching me here in this dark place?”
Remember young David in the fields:
“Lord, what are You teaching me here among the sheep?”

Second, be diligent in what is given to you.
Joseph was given responsibility for prisoners — not a glamorous job.
But he was faithful.
Even in small, hidden places, God looks for those who serve with excellence and care.

Third, stay close to God every day.
Joseph kept his heart right before God.
Psalm 105:19 says,
“Until the time came to fulfill his dreams, the Lord tested Joseph’s character.”
Joseph’s time in prison wasn’t wasted — it was refining his heart, proving his faith.

Personal Application

So let me ask you:
Are you being faithful in the small things?
In your church? In your home? In your workplace?

Are you showing faithfulness when no one else is watching?
Because it’s those unseen moments that build great faith.
Through small faithfulness, God shapes you.
Through small faithfulness, God strengthens the church.
Through small faithfulness, God prepares you for His great work.

Conclusion

Today, God asks each one of us:
“Are you My faithful servant in the small things?”
Will you be faithful, even in unfair places, like Joseph?
Even in hidden places, like that couple in Busan?

God promises:
To the faithful, I will one day say,
“Well done, good and faithful servant. Come and share your Master’s joy.”

Closing Prayer

Let’s pray.
“Lord, make me a faithful servant in the small things.
Teach me to honor You, not just in public, but in private, hidden places.
Grow me through small faithfulness, and prepare me to carry Your great work with a humble, steady heart.
Amen.”

“기름 부음이 머무는 삶”

🟫 Anointing in all areas of life / 삶의 모든 영역에 기름 부으심을

Brothers and sisters, the life God has called us to live is not meant to be lived by human strength alone. From the Old Testament to today, God shows us that His people are called to live by the anointing of His Spirit—not only in church, but in every part of life, including studies, work, and relationships.

사랑하는 여러분, 하나님께서 우리를 부르신 삶은 우리의 능력이나 지혜만으로 살아갈 수 있는 삶이 아닙니다. 구약에서부터 지금까지 하나님은 그분의 기름부으심과 성령의 능력으로 살아가야 함을 보여주셨습니다. 이 기름부음은 교회 안에서만이 아니라 학업, 일터, 관계, 삶의 모든 영역에서 드러나야 합니다.

🟫 Saul, David, and Us / 사울, 다윗, 그리고 우리

1. The Example of Saul and David | 사울과 다윗의 기름부음


In 1 Samuel 10:1 and 16:13, we see that both Saul and David were anointed by God. Yet their lives took very different directions. Saul lost the Spirit because of his disobedience, but David, even in failure, cried out, “Do not take your Spirit from me” (Psalm 51:11).
David teaches us that remaining in the Spirit is the true success of life.

2. The Vision of Ezekiel’s River | 에스겔 강의 환상


Ezekiel 47 shows a river flowing from the temple, bringing life, healing, and fruit wherever it goes. This river is a symbol of the Holy Spirit.
A Spirit-filled community, like the trees by the river, bears fruit in every season and brings healing to the world.

(Ezekiel 47:1,12, NIV11) “「1」 The man brought me back to the entrance to the temple, and I saw water coming out from under the threshold of the temple toward the east (for the temple faced east). The water was coming down from under the south side of the temple, south of the altar.

「12」 Fruit trees of all kinds will grow on both banks of the river. Their leaves will not wither, nor will their fruit fail. Every month they will bear fruit, because the water from the sanctuary flows to them. Their fruit will serve for food and their leaves for healing.””


에스겔 47장에는 성전에서 흘러나오는 생명의 강물이 나옵니다. 그 강물이 닿는 곳마다 생명과 치유, 풍성한 열매가 일어납니다. 이 강물은 성령을 상징합니다.
성령 충만한 공동체는 강가의 나무처럼 매 시즌 열매를 맺고 세상에 치유를 가져오는 공동체입니다.

3. The Spirit-Filled Life in Greater Boston | 보스턴에서 성령으로 살아가는 삶


Living in the Greater Boston area means being surrounded by academic competition, research demands, and career pressures. But God calls us to live Spirit-filled lives right here, bringing His life and peace into our classrooms, labs, offices, and homes.

We live not by our strength, but by depending on the Holy Spirit in every decision—praying in our studies, seeking God’s wisdom in our research, and showing Christ’s love in every relationship.

A life lived in the anointing of the Holy Spirit is a life lived in Jesus.

(John 15:4,5, NIV11) “「4」 Remain in me, as I also remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me.
「5」 “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.”


보스턴에서 살아간다는 것은 치열한 학문적 경쟁과 직장의 압박 속에 있다는 의미입니다. 그러나 하나님은 바로 이곳에서 성령 충만한 삶을 살라고 부르십니다.

「5」 나는 포도나무요, 너희는 가지이다. 사람이 내 안에 머물러 있고, 내가 그 안에 머물러 있으면, 그는 많은 열매를 맺는다. 너희는 나를 떠나서는 아무것도 할 수 없다.”

🟫 Principles for Effective Intercession / 효과적인 중보기도의 원칙

Joy Dawson, a respected leader in YWAM, emphasized the importance of intercessory prayer. In her "Principles for Effective Intercession," she outlines steps such as:
Intercessory prayer that pleases God is not simply speaking our minds, but praying in accordance with God's will.

  1. Praising God for who He is (Psalm 100)

  2. Ensuring our hearts are clean before God (Psalm 66:18)

  3. Relying on the Holy Spirit to guide our prayers (Romans 8:26)

  4. Standing against the enemy in Jesus' name (James 4:7)

  5. Dying to our own desires and seeking God's will (Proverbs 3:5-6)

  6. Thanking God in faith for the answers He will provide

  7. Waiting in silence for God's direction (Psalm 62:5)

  8. Obeying and speaking what God reveals to us (John 10:27)

Through intercession, we participate in God's work, standing in the gap for others and aligning ourselves with His purposes.

✅ 5. 내 뜻을 포기하고 하나님의 뜻을 구하기

  • 내 생각과 계획이 아닌 하나님의 뜻이 이루어지기를 먼저 구합니다.
    (잠언 3:5-6 “너는 마음을 다하여 여호와를 신뢰하고…”)

✅ 6. 믿음으로 감사하기

  • 아직 응답을 보지 못했더라도 믿음으로 이미 이루어진 것처럼 감사를 드립니다.
    (빌립보서 4:6 “감사함으로 너희 구할 것을 하나님께 아뢰라”)

✅ 7. 하나님의 음성을 듣기 위해 잠잠히 기다리기

  • 침묵하며 하나님께서 주시는 생각, 감동, 말씀을 기다립니다.
    (시편 62:5 “나의 영혼아 잠잠히 하나님만 바라라”)

✅ 8. 하나님이 주신 말씀에 순종하기

  • 들은 것을 믿음으로 선포하거나 순종의 행동으로 옮깁니다.
    (요한복음 10:27 “내 양은 내 음성을 들으며 나는 그들을 알며 그들은 나를 따르느니라”)

🟫 Exhortation / 믿음의 권면


Let us not separate our spiritual life from our daily life. Invite the Holy Spirit into every moment, not just in church but in your studies, your work, and your community.
Let us cry out like David, “Do not take your Spirit from me”, and seek fresh anointing every day.

May our lives and our community flow like Ezekiel’s river, bringing life, healing, and fruit wherever we go.
May Greater Boston not only be known for academic excellence but for spiritually alive believers who transform their world by the power of the Holy Spirit.

「13」 그러나 부하들이 그에게 가까이 와서 말하였다. "장군님, 그 예언자가 이보다 더한 일을 하라고 하였다면, 하지 않으셨겠습니까? 다만 몸이나 씻으시라는데, 그러면 깨끗해진다는데, 그것쯤 못할 까닭이 어디에 있습니까?"

「14」 그리하여 나아만은 하나님의 사람이 시킨 대로, 요단 강으로 가서 일곱 번 몸을 씻었다. 그러자 그의 살결이 어린 아이의 살결처럼 새 살로 돌아와, 깨끗하게 나았다.”

「9」 So Naaman went with his horses and chariots and stopped at the door of Elisha’s house.

「10」 Elisha sent a messenger to say to him, “Go, wash yourself seven times in the Jordan, and your flesh will be restored and you will be cleansed.”

「11」 But Naaman went away angry and said, “I thought that he would surely come out to me and stand and call on the name of the Lord his God, wave his hand over the spot and cure me of my leprosy.

「12」 Are not Abana and Pharpar, the rivers of Damascus, better than all the waters of Israel? Couldn’t I wash in them and be cleansed?” So he turned and went off in a rage.

「13」 Naaman’s servants went to him and said, “My father, if the prophet had told you to do some great thing, would you not have done it? How much more, then, when he tells you, ‘Wash and be cleansed’!”

「14」 So he went down and dipped himself in the Jordan seven times, as the man of God had told him, and his flesh was restored and became clean like that of a young boy.”

✨ 제목: “선한 인간의 자존심을 상하게하는 복음”

1. 지난 주일 말씀

- 성경 전체는 하나님과 인간의 관계를 말하고 있다

- 나아만은 자수성가하여 다 가진 자였다.

- 그러나 그는 나병환자였다.

- 나병은 고통스럽고 끔직하고 불쾌하고 더럽다. 나병은 죄를 상징하고 나병에 걸린 사람의 모습은 죄로 고통받는 인간을 상징한다.

- 나아만 자신은 자신의 문제를 해결할 수 없었다. 왕과 최고로 훌륭한 사람들도 나아만의 문제를 해결할 수 없었다.

- 오직 포로로 잡혀온 어린 여자아이가 나아만의 문제를 해결할 수 있는 소식(Good news, 복음)을 가지고 있었다.

- 하나님은 작고, 낮고, 천한 자리에서 일하신다.

- 작은 것 속에서 구원이 시작된다. 교회와 신자는 바로 그 작은 자이다.

- 오직 하나님만이 삶을 회복하고 문제를 해결하고 새로운 삶으로 인도하신다.

- 교회와 신자의 단 하나의 사명은 하나님의 능력만이 해결책이라고 전하는 것이다. 교회와 신자가 능력을 가지고 있지 않다.

- 신자는 예수에게 가야한다. 그리고 다른 사람에게 문제의 해결책이신 예수를 전해야 한다.

- 예수에게 가십시오. 그 말씀을 들으십시오. 그리고 믿으십시오

2. 하나님의 인간과의 관계 회복을 원하십니다. 이것을 구원이라고 합니다. 그러므로 구원은 인간의 생각이 아니라 하나님의 생각이며 계획입니다.

성경은 생명의 책입니다. 죄가 들어온 세상과 죄를 지은 인간의 비참한 모습을 보여주고, 자기 자신을 구원하려고 애쓰는 인간의 수많은 시도가 결국 실패한다는 것을 보여줍니다.

그렇지만 절망 가운데 빠져있는 인간을 위해 행하시는 하나님의 구원의 길, 독생자 예수 그리스도를 통한 생명의 길을 성경은 보여주고 있습니다.

이제 오늘 본문을 살펴보겠습니다.

3. 8절

이스라엘 땅의 예언자, 엘리사가 나병에 걸린 나아만을 자기의 집에 오게 한다.

4. 9절

나아만이 엘리사의 집 문앞에 멈추어 선다.

나아만은 엘리사의 집안으로 들어가지 않는다.

왜 그럴까요? 뭔가를 기다리는 것입니다. _____

5. 10절

엘리사 선자자는 자신이 직접 나오지 않고, 자신의 심부름꾼을 시켜서 메세지를 전달합니다

"요단 강으로 가서 몸을 일곱 번 씻으면, 장군의 몸이 다시 깨끗하게 될 것입니다!!!"

6. 11절

나아만은 화가 나서 발길을 돌립니다.

(*12절: 그는 불평을 하고 나서, 발길을 돌이켜, 분을 참지 못하고 떠납니다)

7. 복음 속에는 나아만과 같은 육에 속한 사람이 증오하는 것들이 들어 있기 때문에, 많은 사람들이 문 앞에서 돌아섭니다.

(고전 2:14, 새번역) “그러나 자연에 속한 사람은 하나님의 영에 속한 일들을 받아들이지 아니합니다. 그런 사람에게는 이런 일들이 어리석은 일이며, 그는 이런 일들을 이해할 수 없습니다. 이런 일들은 영적으로만 분별되기 때문입니다.

(고전 3:3, 새번역) “여러분은 아직도 육에 속한 사람들입니다. 여러분 가운데에서 시기와 싸움이 있으니, 여러분은 육에 속한 사람이고, 인간의 방식대로 살고 있는 것이 아닙니까?”

(1Co 2:14, NIV11) “The person without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God but considers them foolishness, and cannot understand them because they are discerned only through the Spirit.”

(1Co 3:3, NIV11) “You are still worldly. For since there is jealousy and quarreling among you, are you not worldly? Are you not acting like mere humans?”

8. 11절

내 생각에는 적어도 (I thought that he would surely come out to me)

육에 속한 사람이 복음을 미워하는 이유는 복음이 그의 "자존심"을 상하게 만들었기 때문입니다.

- 나는 대단한 사람이다

- 나는 적어도 예의를 아는 사람이다

- 나는 이런 대접을 처음 경험한다. 불쾌하다

9. 복음의 기초위에 서있는 교회에서는 어떤 누구도 머리가 될 수 없습니다. 어떤 구분도 어떤 차별도 어떤 특권도 있을 수 없습니다. 그래서 많은 사람들은 복음을 싫어합니다.

- 출생 배경, 인종, 사회적 지위, 지성과 관련하여, 도덕적 행위와 과거의 행위에서도 아무 차이가 없습니다.

10. 복음은 모든 사람의 의를 보고 마치 더러운 누더기 같다고 말하기 때문입니다. 그래서 많은 사람들이 복음에 격노합니다. 복음에는 특별한 경우가 전혀 없습니다.

- 온 세상이 하나님 앞에서 죄인입니다.

- 질투, 혈기, 정욕, 거짓으로 인해 역겹고 불결한 존재일 뿐입니다.

- 우리 영혼은 나병에 걸렸습니다. 우리는 영적인 나병환자 입니다.

- 죄에 대한 감각을 잃었습니다. 죄가 주는 고통도 알지 못하는 처지가 되었습니다.

10. 나병환자인 나아만이 왜 특별한 대우를 받아야 합니까?

12. 12절

다마스쿠스에 있는 아마나 강이나 바르발 강이, 이스라엘에 있는 강물보다 좋지 않다는 말이냐? 강에서 씻으려면, 거기에서 씻으면 될 것 아닌가? 우리 나라의 강물에서는 씻기지 않기라도 한다는 말이냐?"

13. 복음이 우리를 화나게 만드는 이유는 복음이 구원에 관한 우리의 모든 생각이 잘못되었다는 것을 보여주기 때문입니다.

- "내 생각에는" (11절)

- 요단 강과는 비교할 수 없을 정도로 더 좋은 강들을 알고 있다고 나아만이 말합니다. (아마나 강, 바르발 강)

- 나아만은 이제 수없이 실패했음에도 불구하고, 또 다시 자신의 방법과 생각이 구원의 길이라고 말하고 있는 것입니다. 그는 자신의 나병이 이런 식으로 치료되어야 한다고 생각하고 있는 것을 계속 붙잡고 있는 것입니다.

14. 죄와 불신보다 하나님 앞에서 미련한 것은 없습니다. 예수님께서 이 땅에 오셨을 때, 수 많은 사람들이 자신의 선함과 종교적인 열심을 기준으로 세워서 예수를 불신하고 거절했습니다.

15. "왜 선하게 사는 것만으로는 충분하지 않는 것인지 그 이유를 모르겠어. 사람이 선하게 살면 되는 것 아니야? 그런데 그것으로 충분하지 않다니, 도대체 그 이유가 뭐야. 왜 그렇다는 것이야?" 이렇게 말하며 그들은 화를 내었습니다.

16. 인간은 비참한 실패자이자 죄인인 주제에 하나님이 이 세상에 보내신 구원의 길을 비난합니다.

17. 엘리사의 말 한마디에 나아만의 모든 것이 허물어진 것처럼, 수 많은 살람들이 예수 그리스도 앞에서 화를 내고 자신의 방식을 여전히 고집하고 돌아섭니다.

18. 엘리사는 나아만에게 제거 되어야 하는 것이 나병만이 아니라 다른 것이 있음을 알았습니다.

하나님이 주신 복음도 우리에게 같은 방식으로 일을 합니다. 우리에게 제거되어야 하는 것은 우리에게 있는 표면적인 문제들만이 아닙니다.

20. 10절

「10」 엘리사는 사환을 시켜서 나아만에게, 요단 강으로 가서 몸을 일곱 번 씻으면, 장군의 몸이 다시 깨끗하게 될 것이라고 말하였다.

복음이 육에 속한 사람을 화나게 하고 복음을 미워하게 만드는 이유는 복음이 정말 한심하고 우스워보이는 길을 제시하기 때문입니다.

21. 복음이 사람들에게 하는 말은 육에 속한 사람이 듣기에는 정말 모욕적이고, 굴욕적이며, 한심한 메시지로 들립니다. 복음은 사람들엑 그져 선하게만 살면 된다고 말하지 않습니다.

22. 복음은 오직 주 예수 그리스도만 바라보고 그분의 완전하신 모범을 본받아 그리스도처럼 살라고 말하지 않습니다.

"예수"를 도덕적으로 위대한 모범자이고 위대한 교사로 바라보라는 것이 복음이 아닙니다.

23. 복음의 시작점이 중요합니다.

하나님께서 그리스도를 본받고 그리스도의 가르침을 실천하려고 애써 보라는 것은 복음을 받아 들인 사람들에게 하는 메시지 입니다.

24. 복음은 나를 위해 머리에 가시관을 쓰고 몹시 괴로워하며 "나의 하나님, 나의 하나님, 어찌하여 나를 버리시나이까?"라고 울부직은 그 분을 바라보라는 것입니다.

하나님은 죄로 인해 고통받는 사람들에게 그렇게 나약하게 죽으신 분, 십자가에 못박히신 그리스도, 바로 그분을 보라고 여러분에게 말씀하시는 것입니다.

25. 십자가에서 죽어가는 그리스도를 바라보십시오. 십자가에서 예수님이 그의 몸으로 친이 우리 죄를 담당하셨다는 것, 우리 죄로 인해 그분이 형벌을 받으셨다는 것, 하나님이 우리의 죄와 불법을 예수에게 담당시키고 해결하셨다는 것을 깨달으십시오. 그것이 전부입니다. 그것이 복음이며 그것이 하나님이 계획하신 구원입니다.

26. 우리는 그저 우리 죄를 인정하고 회개하며 그 모든 것을 시인하기만 하면 됩니다. 그리고 하나님의 아들 예수 그리스도께서 우리와 우리 죄를 위해 죽으셨다는 것을 믿기만 하면 됩니다. 그 밖에 우리가 할 일은 하나도 없습니다. 그렇게 하면 우리는 즉시 구원을 받습니다.

맞습니다. 그것이 다 입니다.

28. 간청과 결단

- 부하들이 간청합니다. 그리고 나아만은 결단합니다.

- 그리고 나아만은 요단강에 들어갑니다. 그리고 어린 아이의 살결처럼 새살이 돌아와 깨끗하게 됩니다.

13」 그러나 부하들이 그에게 가까이 와서 말하였다. "장군님, 그 예언자가 이보다 더한 일을 하라고 하였다면, 하지 않으셨겠습니까? 다만 몸이나 씻으시라는데, 그러면 깨끗해진다는데, 그것쯤 못할 까닭이 어디에 있습니까?"

「14」 그리하여 나아만은 하나님의 사람이 시킨 대로, 요단 강으로 가서 일곱 번 몸을 씻었다. 그러자 그의 살결이 어린 아이의 살결처럼 새 살로 돌아와, 깨끗하게 나았다.”

29. 복음은 우리에게 아무것도 요구하지 않습니다. 역사하는 것은 오직 하나님의 능력입니다.

(고전 2:14, 새번역) “그러나 자연에 속한 사람은 하나님의 영에 속한 일들을 받아들이지 아니합니다. 그런 사람에게는 이런 일들이 어리석은 일이며, 그는 이런 일들을 이해할 수 없습니다. 이런 일들은 영적으로만 분별되기 때문입니다.

(1Co 2:14, NIV11) “The person without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God but considers them foolishness, and cannot understand them because they are discerned only through the Spirit.”

30. 하나님의 능력을 믿고 나아만 처럼 새로운 삶을 살아가시길 축복합니다.

1. Last Sunday’s Message

  • The entire Bible speaks about the relationship between God and humanity.

  • Naaman was a self-made man who had everything.

  • But he was a leper.

  • Leprosy is painful, horrific, repulsive, and unclean. It symbolizes sin, and the condition of a leper represents humanity suffering under the weight of sin.

  • Naaman himself could not solve his problem. Neither the king nor the most esteemed people could solve it either.

  • Only a young girl who had been taken as a captive slave had the news (the good news, the gospel) that could lead to Naaman’s healing.

  • God works through small, lowly, and humble places.

  • Salvation begins in what is small. The church and its members are that small beginning.

  • Only God can restore life, solve our problems, and lead us into a new life.

  • The one mission of the church and believers is to proclaim that only the power of God is the solution. The church and believers do not have that power themselves.

  • Believers must go to Jesus, and then lead others to Jesus, who is the answer.

  • Go to Jesus. Listen to His Word. Believe.

2. God desires to restore His relationship with humanity. This is called salvation. Therefore, salvation is not an idea from man, but a plan initiated by God.

The Bible is the book of life. It shows a world tainted by sin and the miserable condition of humankind as a result. It reveals the many failed attempts of man trying to save himself.
Yet the Bible also shows the way of salvation God has provided for despairing humanity—the way of life through His only Son, Jesus Christ.

Now, let us examine today’s passage.

3. Verse 8
The prophet Elisha, who lived in Israel, summoned the leper Naaman to his house.

4. Verse 9
Naaman stopped at the entrance of Elisha’s house.
He didn’t go inside.
Why not? He was waiting for something. _____

5. Verse 10
Elisha did not come out himself but sent a messenger to deliver this message:
“Go wash yourself seven times in the Jordan River, and your flesh will be restored and you will be cleansed!”

6. Verse 11
Naaman got angry and turned away.
(*Verse 12: He complained, turned around, and stormed off in anger.)

7. Many people turn back at the doorstep because the gospel contains things that offend the fleshly person, just as Naaman did.

(1 Corinthians 2:14, NIV) “The person without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God but considers them foolishness…”
(1 Corinthians 3:3, NIV) “You are still worldly… Are you not acting like mere humans?”

8. Verse 11 – "I thought he would surely come out to me..."
The fleshly person hates the gospel because it wounds their “pride.”

  • “I am an important person.”

  • “I know how to behave with proper manners.”

  • “This is the first time I’ve been treated this way. How rude!”

9. In a church built upon the foundation of the gospel, no one can be the head. There can be no distinction, no privilege, no superiority. That is why many people hate the gospel.

  • No difference based on birth, race, status, intellect, morality, or past actions.

10. The gospel calls everyone’s righteousness filthy rags. That’s why people get angry at the gospel—it allows no exceptions.

  • All are sinners before God.

  • Because of jealousy, rage, lust, and lies, we are unclean and repulsive.

  • Our souls are leprous. We are spiritual lepers.

  • We have lost the sensitivity to sin and are numb to its pain.

11. Why should Naaman the leper receive special treatment?

12. Verse 12
“Aren’t the rivers of Damascus, the Abana and Pharpar, better than any of the waters of Israel? Couldn’t I wash in them and be cleansed?”

13. The gospel angers people because it shows that everything they believed about salvation was wrong.

  • “I thought…” (v.11)

  • Naaman names rivers better than the Jordan (Abana, Pharpar).

Even after many failures, Naaman still clings to his own ideas and methods, insisting that healing must happen his way.

14. Nothing is more foolish before God than sin and unbelief. When Jesus came to this world, many rejected Him because they judged Him by their own standard of goodness and religious zeal.

15. “Why isn’t living a good life enough? Isn’t it enough to be moral?” People get angry at the gospel with these questions.

16. Though man is a miserable failure and sinner, he dares to criticize God’s way of salvation sent through His Son.

17. Just as one word from Elisha shattered Naaman’s pride, many turn away in anger at Jesus, clinging to their own ways.

18. Elisha saw that Naaman’s problem was not just leprosy but something deeper.

Likewise, the gospel also targets something more than our surface-level issues.

19. The example of Lee Sedol’s victory against AlphaGo

  • AlphaGo intentionally played basic, slow moves to test itself.

  • Like that, we humans are self-sabotaging—we live generating bugs from within.

20. Verse 10
“Elisha sent a messenger to say, ‘Go wash yourself seven times in the Jordan… and your flesh will be restored and you will be cleansed.’”
The reason the gospel offends the fleshly person is because it offers what seems like a ridiculous, laughable solution.

21. The gospel sounds insulting, humiliating, and foolish to the natural man. It does not say, “Just live a good life and you’ll be fine.”

22. The gospel does not say, “Just look to Jesus as a great moral teacher and follow His perfect example.”

23. The starting point of the gospel is critical.
God does not say, “Try to follow Christ’s teachings and imitate Him” to those who have not received the gospel.

24. The gospel says: Look to the One who wore a crown of thorns and cried out, “My God, my God, why have You forsaken Me?”

God points sinners to that suffering, crucified Christ—weak and dying—saying, “Behold Him.”

25. Look to Christ dying on the cross. Realize that He bore our sins in His body. That He was punished for our sins. That God laid our iniquities upon Him and dealt with them there. That is everything. That is the gospel. That is God’s plan of salvation.

26. All we have to do is acknowledge our sin, repent, and confess it. Then believe that Jesus Christ, the Son of God, died for us and our sins. That’s it. Nothing more. We are saved instantly.

27. “Is that really all?”
Yes. That is all.

28. Appeal and decision

  • Naaman’s servants pleaded with him. He decided.

  • Naaman went into the Jordan River. His flesh became like that of a child, and he was healed.

(2 Kings 5:13–14)
“‘If the prophet had told you to do some great thing, would you not have done it? How much more, then, when he tells you, “Wash and be cleansed”!’
So he went down and dipped himself in the Jordan seven times… and his flesh was restored and became clean like that of a young boy.”

29. The gospel requires nothing from us. It is God’s power alone that works.

(1 Corinthians 2:14, NIV)

30. May you trust in the power of God and begin a new life like Naaman.

[3] She said to her mistress, “If only my master would see the prophet who is in Samaria! He would cure him of his leprosy.”

✨ Sermon Introduction: "Only One Message"

Dear beloved, today we must remember one very important truth.

Te entire message of the Bible is one.
Both the Old and New Testaments declare the same truth.

The Old Testament shows it in pictures; the New Testament explains it in words.
That one message is salvation—the way to be saved by God's grace alone.
*The Bible speaks to the relationship between God and humans

✨ 우리 모두는 '그러나'를 가진 사람입니다.

그는 성공한 사람이었습니다.
그는 존경받는 사람이었습니다.
그는 강한 군대 장군이었습니다.

✨ We All Have a "But" in Our Lives.

Today, we meet a man—Naaman.
He was a successful man, respected by many, and a powerful military commander.
Wouldn’t you want to be someone like him?
But the Bible says:
"But Naaman was a leper." (2 Kings 5:1)
No matter how high we rise or how successful we are, everyone has a "but."
What is the "but" in your life?

✨ 문제는 세상에 있지만, 답은 세상에 없습니다.

하만은 온 세상의 권력을 손에 쥔 사람 같았지만, 모르드개 하나 때문에 미쳐버렸습니다.
하나님이 지으신 풍성한 세상, 인간이 누릴 수 있는 모든 좋은 것들… 그러나, 죄.
죄는 나병과 같습니다.

  • 나병처럼 죄는 사람을 가리지 않습니다.

  • 나병처럼 죄는 인생을 망치고, 삶을 더럽히고, 부끄럽게 만듭니다.

  • 누구나 죄로 인해 고통받습니다.

그리고,
나아만도, 왕도, 아무리 훌륭한 사람도 이 문제를 해결할 수 없었습니다.

세상에는 질문이 있습니다.
"왜 아픈가?" "왜 불행한가?" "왜 외로운가?"
하지만 세상은 답을 모릅니다.
답을 안다고 해도, 진정한 능력은 없습니다.

✨ The Problem Exists in the World, But the Answer Does Not.

Haman seemed to hold all the power in the world, but he was destroyed because of one man—Mordecai.
God created a rich and perfect world for humanity to enjoy, but sin has corrupted it.
Sin, like leprosy, does not discriminate; it defiles life and brings shame.
Everyone suffers because of sin.
Neither Naaman, nor kings, nor even the greatest people could solve this problem.
The world has many questions, but no answers.
Even when it claims to have answers, it has no true power.

✨ 세상은 "큰 해결책"을 찾습니다.

왕은 금과 은, 옷가지들과 함께 편지를 보냈습니다.
크고 대단한 해결책을 찾으려 했습니다.

  • 갈릴리 나사렛 출신의 예수님.

  • 십자가에서 죽으신 예수님.

작은 것 속에 구원이 시작됩니다.

✨ The World Seeks "Big Solutions."

The king sent a letter with gold, silver, and fine clothes, seeking a grand and magnificent solution.

[5] “By all means, go,” the king of Aram replied. “I will send a letter to the king of Israel.” So Naaman left, taking with him ten talents of silver, six thousand shekels** of gold and ten sets of clothing.

[6] The letter that he took to the king of Israel read: “With this letter I am sending my servant Naaman to you so that you may cure him of his leprosy.”


But God gives His answer through small and humble places.
A little captive girl, a shepherd boy named David, a prisoner named Joseph, a small land called Palestine, a baby Jesus born in a manger, Jesus of Nazareth from Galilee, and Jesus who died on the cross.
Salvation always begins from the small and lowly.

✨ 오직 복음만이 능력입니다.

복음에는 능력이 있습니다.

  • (롬 1:16) "나는 복음을 부끄러워하지 않습니다. 이 복음은 모든 믿는 사람을 구원하는 하나님의 능력입니다."

✨ Only the Gospel Has Power.

There is power in the Gospel.
"I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes." (Romans 1:16)
Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life.
"I am the way and the truth and the life." (John 14:6)
Salvation is found only in Christ Jesus.

✨ 교회의 사명은 단 하나입니다.

교회는 세상을 치료한다고 주장하지 않습니다.
신자와 교회는 다만 증언할 뿐입니다.
"하나님의 능력만이 문제를 해결할 수 있습니다."

우리는 세상에 무시당할 수 있습니다.
교회는 종과 같고, 어린 소녀 같고, 무명자들 같을 것입니다.
그러나 우리는 답을 알고 있습니다.

"하나님께서는 세상의 어리석은 것들을 택하셔서 지혜 있는 자들을 부끄럽게 하시고, 세상의 약한 것들을 택하셔서 강한 것들을 부끄럽게 하셨습니다."

✨ The Church Has Only One Mission.

The church does not claim to heal the world.
Believers and the church simply testify: "Only the power of God can solve the problem."
We may be ignored by the world.
The church may seem like servants, like little girls, like unknown people.
Yet we know the answer.
"But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong." (1 Corinthians 1:27)

✨ 결단과 헌신: "가십시오, 들으십시오, 그리고 믿으십시오."

믿음은 들음에서 나고, 들음은 그리스도의 말씀으로 말미암습니다.
"믿음은 들음에서 생기고, 들음은 그리스도를 전하는 말씀에서 비롯됩니다." (롬 10:17)
나아만이 어린 소녀의 말을 듣고 살았듯, 우리도 천대받는 복음의 말씀을 듣고 살아야 합니다.

✨ Conclusion (Determination and commitment): "Go, Listen, and Believe."

Faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ.
"Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word about Christ." (Romans 10:17)
Just as Naaman lived by listening to the little girl, we too must live by hearing the despised yet life-giving message of the Gospel.

사랑하는 여러분, 오늘은 우리 신앙의 가장 중심되는 메시지, 바로 예수 그리스도의 부활에 대해 함께 나누고자 합니다. 이 말씀을 통해 우리가 누리고 있는 부활의 능력, 그 약속의 성취, 그리고 부활의 증인으로서 우리가 감당해야 할 사명을 함께 되새기길 원합니다.

Beloved, today I want to share with you the most central message of our faith-the resurrection of Jesus Christ. I want us to be reminded of the power of the resurrection, the fulfillment of its promise, and our mission as witnesses to it.

1. 부활의 능력 (마태복음 28:1-4)

(마 28:1-10, 새번역) “「1」 안식일이 지나고, 이레의 첫 날 동틀 무렵에, 막달라 마리아와 다른 마리아가 무덤을 보러 갔다.
「2」 그런데 갑자기 큰 지진이 일어났다. 주님의 한 천사가 하늘에서 내려와 무덤에 다가와서, 그 돌을 굴려 내고, 그 돌 위에 앉았다.
「3」 그 천사의 모습은 번개와 같았고, 그의 옷은 눈과 같이 희었다.

예수님께서 죽음을 이기시고 부활하신 그 순간, 큰 지진이 일어났고, 하늘에서 주의 천사가 내려와 무덤의 돌을 굴렸습니다. 마태복음의 저자가 이러한 표현을 한 이유는 무엇입니까?
이 사건은 사람이 만든 사건이 아니라는 것을 표현한 것입니다.

부활은 사람의 사건이 아니라 하늘의 사건입니다. 우리는 매우 바쁜 일상에서 살아가다보면 사람과 사건 자체에 묶혀서 살아가게 됩니다. 진정 우리를 가치있게 하고 의미있게 하고 행복하게 하는 사건은 하늘의 하나님께서 만드시는 사건이 아닐까요!

예수님의 부활 능력은 지금도 여전히 살아있는 실재 입니다. 그리하여 그 능력은 우리의 두려움을 평안으로, 좌절을 소망으로 바꿉니다. 여러분은 지금 어떤 ‘무덤의 돌’ 앞에 서 계십니까? 하나님은 그 돌을 굴리실 수 있는 분입니다.

1. the power of the resurrection (Matthew 28:1-4)

(Matthew 28:1-10, New Living Translation) "「1」 After the Sabbath, at dawn on the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to see the tomb.「2」 Suddenly there was a great earthquake. An angel of the Lord came down from heaven, approached the tomb, rolled away the stone, and sat down on it.「3] The angel's appearance was like lightning, and his clothes were white as snow.「4] When those who were watching saw the angel, they were afraid and trembled, and became like dead men.

At the moment Jesus rose from the dead, there was a great earthquake, and an angel of the Lord came down from heaven and rolled away the stone of the tomb. Why did the author of the Gospel of Matthew make this representation? It is to express that this event is not a man-made event: the resurrection is not a man-made event, but a heavenly event. We live very busy lives, and we get caught up in people and events. The events that truly make us feel valued, meaningful, and happy are the ones that come from the God of heaven.

The power of Jesus' resurrection is still a living reality today. And that power transforms our fears into peace and our frustrations into hope. What "stone of the grave" are you standing in front of right now? God is the one who can roll it away. Amen.

2. 예언의 성취 (마태복음 28:5-7)

「5」 천사가 여자들에게 말하였다. "두려워하지 말아라. 나는, 너희가 십자가에 달리신 예수를 찾는 줄 안다.

예수님은 마태복음 16장에서 베드로의 신앙고백을 들으신 이후에, 자신이 사람들의 손에 넘겨져 죽임을 당하고 셋째 날에 살아날 것임을 3번 말씀하셨습니다.

예수님의 부활은 단순한 사건이 아닙니다. 온 인류를 구원하시기 위한 하나님의 구원계획과 하나님의 선교의 중심이며 완성의 사건입니다.

하나님 아버지는 당신의 자녀를 사랑하십니다. 저와 여러분은 하나님의 약속과 구원의 계획안에 살아가는 것임을 잊지 않기를 바랍니다.

우리 함께 선포합시다:
내 삶은 주 안에 있네, 하나님의 나라 안에 있네.
내 삶은 주님의 말씀 안에, 성경의 약속 안에, 하나님의 언약 안에 있네.

2. Fulfillment of Prophecy (Matthew 28:5-7)

"5" The angel said to the women. "Do not be afraid. I know that you are looking for Jesus, the crucified one."「6」 He is not here. Just as he said, he has risen from the dead. Come and see the place where he was lying.

After hearing Peter's confession of faith in Matthew 16, Jesus told him three times that he would be delivered into the hands of men, killed, and raised on the third day.

The resurrection of Jesus is not just an event; it is the centerpiece and culmination of God's plan of salvation and God's mission to save all mankind.

Heavenly Father loves His children. May you and I never forget that we live in God's promise and plan of salvation.

Let us proclaim together: My life is in the Lord, in the kingdom of God. My life is in Your Word, in the promises of the Bible, in the covenant of God.

3. 부활의 기쁨과 변화 (마태복음 28:8)

「8」 여자들은 무서움과 큰 기쁨이 엇갈려서, 급히 무덤을 떠나, 이 소식을 그의 제자들에게 전하려고 달려갔다.

부활의 소식을 들은 여인들은 무덤을 떠나면서 “두려움과 큰 기쁨”을 동시에 경험합니다.
여러분 이러한 경험을 하신 적이 있습니까?
성경에 하나님을 만난 사람들은 “여호와 하나님을 경외합니다.” 그리고 그들은 하나님의 백성을 향하여 “여호와를 기뻐하는 것이 너희의 힘이다”라고 가르칩니다.

(Neh 8:10, NIV11) “Nehemiah said, “Go and enjoy choice food and sweet drinks, and send some to those who have nothing prepared. This day is holy to our Lord. Do not grieve, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.””

3. The Joy and Transformation of the Resurrection (Matthew 28:8)

"8" The women were filled with a mixture of fear and great joy, and they left the tomb in haste, running to tell his disciples the news.

After hearing the news of the resurrection, the women experience both "fear and great joy" as they leave the tomb.Have you ever had this experience? The Bible says that those who have encountered God "fear the Lord God." And it teaches God's people, "To delight in the Lord is your strength." (Psalm 2:11, New International Version).

(Ps 2:11, NIV11) "Serve the Lord with fear, and praise his rule with trembling."

(Pr 9:10, NIV11) "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding."

(Neh 8:10, NIV) "Nehemiah said to them. "Go back. Take the flesh of the animals you have killed and make a bountiful meal, so that they may eat and drink. For those who have nothing, send them something to eat. This is the holy day of our Lord. Do not be sad, for rejoicing in the presence of the Lord gives you strength.""

My dear brothers and sisters in WorshipFrontier, may you have "a joy-filled and life-sustaining fear" in your lives. May the resurrection of Jesus be an event that speaks directly to your personal life, and may it be the beginning of God renewing your mind and leading your life anew.

4. 기쁜 소식을 전하는 사명 (마태복음 28:9-10)

「9」 그런데 갑자기 예수께서 여자들과 마주쳐서 "평안하냐?" 하고 말씀하셨다. 여자들은 다가가서, 그의 발을 붙잡고, 그에게 절을 하였다.
「10」 그 때에 예수께서 그 여자들에게 말씀하셨다. "무서워하지 말아라. 가서, 나의 형제들에게 갈릴리로 가라고 전하여라. 그러면, 거기에서 그들이 나를 만날 것이다."”

여인들은 이제 직접 부활하신 예수님을 만납니다. 죽음을 이기신 주님은 “샬롬 - 평안하냐”라고 인사를 합니다. 여러분에게 지금 필요한 것은 죽음을 이기신 “주님의 샬롬”입니다.
여인들은 대답대신 몸으로 경배(절)을 합니다.
이것이 예배입니다. 죽음을 이기신 예수님 앞에 모든 것을 맡기며 그 분앞에 엎드리는 것이 예배입니다.

예배자들에게 주님은 항상 말씀하십니다.
”무서워 말라, 가서 나의 형제들에게 전하여라” “부활의 주님이 너희 보다 앞서 가서 너희를 기다릴 것이다”

여러분의 발걸음의 앞에는 항상 부활하신 주 예수 그리스도가 계시다는 것을 믿으시길 축복합니다.

예수를 핍박하던 사울이라는 청년이 부활하신 예수님을 만나는 장면이 사도행전 9장에 나옵니다.


(행 9:3-6, 새번역) “「3」 사울이 길을 가다가, 다마스쿠스 가까이에 이르렀을 때에, 갑자기 하늘에서 환한 빛이 그를 둘러 비추었다.
「4」 그는 땅에 엎어졌다. 그리고 그는 "사울아, 사울아, 네가 왜 나를 핍박하느냐?" 하는 음성을 들었다.
「5」 그래서 그가 "주님, 누구십니까?" 하고 물으니, "나는 네가 핍박하는 예수다.
「6」 일어나서, 성 안으로 들어가거라. 네가 해야 할 일을 일러 줄 사람이 있을 것이다" 하는 음성이 들려왔다.”

부활의 주님을 만난 자들은 예배의 사명, 부활하신 예수님을 알리는 사명을 받습니다. 오늘 예배를 통해서 여러분의 삶에 대해서 말씀하시는 예수님의 말씀을 들으시고, 예수님의 말씀대로 살아가는 여러분이 되시길 축원합니다.

4. The Mission to Share the Good News (Matthew 28:9-10)

"9" Suddenly Jesus encountered the women and said to them, "Greetings, woman, are you well?" They ran up to him, grabbed his feet, and bowed down to him.「10」 Then he said to them, "Do not be afraid. "Do not be afraid. Go, tell my brothers to go to Galilee, and there they will meet me.""

The women now meet the risen Jesus in person. The Lord who has defeated death greets them with "Shalom - Peace be with you." What you need now is the "shalom of the Lord" who has conquered death. Instead of answering, the women worship (bow) with their bodies. This is worship. Worship is falling down before Jesus, who has conquered death, leaving everything to Him. To worshipers, the Lord always says. "Do not be afraid, go and tell my brothers" "The Lord of the resurrection will go ahead of you and wait for you."

May you believe that your steps are always preceded by the risen Lord Jesus Christ.

In Acts 9, a young man named Saul, a persecutor of Jesus, encounters the resurrected Jesus.

(Acts 9:3-6, ESV) "3" As Saul was traveling on the road, he was near Damascus, when suddenly a bright light from heaven shone around him.4 "He fell to the ground, and he heard a voice saying, "Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting me?" "5" So he asked, "Lord, who are you?" And he said, "I am Jesus, whom you persecute. There will be someone there who will tell you what you must do."

Those who encounter the risen Lord have a mission of worship, a mission to make known the risen Jesus. May you hear what Jesus has to say about your life in worship today, and may you be the kind of person who lives out his words.

예수님의 부활은 우리의 신앙의 출발점이자 완성입니다.
그 능력은 지금도 우리 안에 살아 있고, 약속은 반드시 이루어지며,
우리는 그 소식을 세상에 전하는 부름을 받았습니다.

Beloved, Jesus' resurrection is the beginning and completion of our faith. Its power lives in us now, its promises are sure to be fulfilled, and we are called to bring that news to the world.

Today, may you believe in the power of that resurrection, lean into the words of promise, and go forth into the world with the joy of resurrection.

「9」 The crowds that went ahead of him and those that followed shouted, “Hosanna* to the Son of David!” “Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!”** “Hosanna* in the highest heaven!” / *A Hebrew expression meaning “Save!” which became an exclamation of praise; also in verse 15 / **Psalm 118:25,26

「10」 When Jesus entered Jerusalem, the whole city was stirred and asked, “Who is this?”

예수님은 참된 왕으로서 나귀를 타고 예루살렘에 입성하셨습니다.
사람들은 외쳤습니다.
“호산나! 다윗의 자손이여! 예수님을 환영합니다!”

그러나 그들은 자신들의 기대와 다른 모습의 왕이라는 것을 알게 되자
예수님을 버리고 말았습니다.
자신들의 문제를 해결해 줄 권력 있는 왕을 원했지만,
예수님은 하나님의 공의를 이루기 위해 고난과 희생, 사랑의 길을 선택하셨습니다.

그리고 결국 사람들은 소리쳤습니다.
“그를 십자가에 못 박으라!”

2000년이 지난 지금,
오늘 종려주일에 서 있는 우리도 그들과 같은 자리에 있습니다.

지금 내 삶에서, 우리 민족 가운데, 이 땅 위에
진짜 왕은 누구입니까?

성경은 말씀합니다.
“너의 뜻이 아니라, 주의 뜻을 따르라. 너의 힘이 아니라, 성령의 능력으로 살아가라.”

사랑하는 프론티어 성도 여러분,
저와 여러분은 참된 왕이신 예수님을 신실함과 충성으로 따라야 합니다.

우리는 독수리의 눈처럼 믿음의 눈으로 목표를 정확히 바라보고 전진해야 합니다.

20. 🌿On Palm Sunday, let us look fully with eyes of faith to the Lord, the true King.

Jesus entered Jerusalem riding on a donkey—not as a political or military leader, but as the true King.
The people shouted with joy,
“Hosanna! Son of David! Welcome, Jesus!”

But when they realized Jesus wasn’t the kind of king they expected, they quickly turned away.
They wanted a king with power who would fix their problems.
Instead, Jesus chose the path of suffering, sacrifice, and love—to fulfill God's justice and save us.
And so, those same people who shouted “Hosanna” eventually cried out,
“Crucify Him!”

Even now, 2000 years later, we find ourselves in the same position on Palm Sunday.
We must ask ourselves:

Who is King in my life?
Who is King over our people, our land, our generation?

The Bible teaches us to follow God’s will, not our own,
and to rely on the power of the Holy Spirit, not human strength.

Dear brothers and sisters of Frontier,
you and I are called to follow Jesus with faithfulness and loyalty.
He is our true King.

Like the eagle that flies with vision and strength,
we are called to soar with eyes of faith,
seeing the goal clearly, and moving forward without fear.

On this Palm Sunday,
let us rise up like eagles.
When we go higher, we begin to see wider and deeper.

Let us have the heart and the eyes of Jesus,
who went to the cross to save sinners.
Let’s fly high with the Lord and see people with His deep love.

✝️ This week is Holy Week, the week of Jesus' suffering.
And next week is Resurrection Sunday!

From Monday to Saturday, we will gather for “Holy Week Dawn Prayer.”
It will be a time of prayer and reflection as we follow Jesus’ journey to the cross.

Each day, we will look at Jesus’ footsteps and listen to His final words from the cross:

  1. “Father, forgive them” (The forgiveness of Christ)

  2. “Today you will be with me in paradise” (The suffering Jesus embraced for us)

  3. “Woman, here is your son” (The heavenly life Jesus gives)

  4. “My God, why have you forsaken me?” (Emptying ourselves to be filled by God)

  5. “I am thirsty” (The way of the cross)

  6. “It is finished” (The way to eternal life)

  7. “Into your hands I commit my spirit” (Trusting in the risen Lord)

Beloved, this week, may we follow in the steps of Jesus and draw our hearts closer to Him. On the morning of resurrection, let us rise together in newness of life.

30. 참된 왕께 드리는 헌신 / Devotion to the True King

저는 이번에 한국을 방문하면서 몇몇 교회에서 예배를 드렸습니다. 싸이즈나 분위기가 서로 많이 다른 교회와 성도님들을 만났습니다. 그러면서, 우리 교회를 좀더 멀리서 살펴볼 수 있었습니다. 어제 새벽기도 시간과 찬양팀 연습시간에도 어느정도 나눈 내용입니다.

(1) 참으로 진실된 예배를 드립시다.

성령과 진리로 온 마음과 온 몸을 통하여 오직 주님을 바라보면서 주님이 주신 사랑과 은혜에 젖어 찬양하는 예배를 드립시다. 가식이 아니라 진실되게 그리하여 자유하면서도 자연스러운 예배를 드리기 원합니다.

(2) 참으로 한 사람의 영혼을 돌아 봅시다. (예) 나그네들의 교회의 예배와 자녀 한사람과 둘이 예배드리는 엄마의 모습

(3) 참으로 주님과의 인격적인 만남을 날마다 가지기 위해 QT 합시다.

신앙생활의 근본은 주님과의 관계입니다. 그리고 우리 주 예수 그리스도는 말씀이십니다. 그리하여 주님과의 인격적인 관계를 맺으면 주님의 말씀이 나에게 임하여 나도 주님의 말씀을 따르고 배우게 됩니다. 사랑하는 성도 여러분, 주님의 말씀을 배워 주님께 사랑을 표현하는 삶을 사시길 바랍니다. 주님께 사랑을 받고, 주님께 사랑을 표현하는 사람은 가족과 형제와 자매와 이웃에도 그렇게 할 수 있습니다. 주님 앞에서 내가 누구인지를 발견하고, 주님의 말을 배우고 표현하는 여러분들이 되기를 간절히 바랍니다.

I worshipped at several churches during my visit to Korea this week. I met churches and members with very different styles and atmospheres. In doing so, I was able to look at our church from a more distant perspective. These are some of the things we shared during our early morning prayer time and praise team practice yesterday.

(1) Let us worship with sincerity.

Let us worship in Spirit and in truth, with our whole heart and whole body, looking only to the Lord, soaking in His love and grace. We want to do this sincerely and not pretend, so that our worship is free and natural.

(2) Let us truly consider the soul of a person (e.g., the worship of a church of strangers and a mother worshipping with one child and two others).

(3) QT to truly have a personal encounter with the Lord on a daily basis.

The foundation of the life of faith is a relationship with the Lord, and our Lord Jesus Christ is the Word, and when I have a personal relationship with the Lord, His Word comes to me, and I follow and learn His Word. Dear saints, may you learn the Word of the Lord and live a life that expresses love to the Lord. Those who are loved by the Lord, and who express love to the Lord, will be able to do the same to their families, brothers, sisters, and neighbors. I earnestly hope that you will discover who you are before the Lord, and that you will learn and express the Lord's words.
