거절하는 신자들
많은 신자들이 복음을 위해 신자를 따로 구별하시는 하나님을 거절합니다.
”우리는 이 세상의 쓰레기처럼 되고, 이제까지 만물의 찌꺼기처럼 되었습니다.”의 표현은 과장된 표현이 아닙니다. 오늘날 이른바 복음 사역자들인 우리에게 이 말이 해당되지 않는 것은 우리에게 너무나 많은 세상의 애착들이 남아 있어서 우리는 만물의 찌꺼기가 되기를 스스로 거절하기 때문입니다.
거듭난 신자 모두가 “그리스도의 남은 고난을 채우는 삶”을 살아가지는 않습니다. 오직 “복음을 위해 따로 구별된 자”가 그리스도의 남을 고난을 채우게 됩니다.

「2」 Even if no one else admits the authority of my commission, you can't deny it. Why, my work with you is living proof of my authority!
「3」 I'm not shy in standing up to my critics.
「4」 We who are on missionary assignments for God have a right to decent accommodations,
「5」 and we have a right to support for us and our families. You don't seem to have raised questions with the other apostles and our Master's brothers and Peter in these matters.
「6」 So, why me? Is it just Barnabas and I who have to go it alone and pay our own way?
「7」 Are soldiers self-employed? Are gardeners forbidden to eat vegetables from their own gardens? Don't milkmaids get to drink their fill from the pail?
「8」 I'm not just sounding off because I'm irritated. This is all written in the scriptural law.
「9」 Moses wrote, "Don't muzzle an ox to keep it from eating the grain when it's threshing." Do you think Moses' primary concern was the care of farm animals?
「10」 Don't you think his concern extends to us? Of course. Farmers plow and thresh expecting something when the crop comes in.
「11」 So if we have planted spiritual seed among you, is it out of line to expect a meal or two from you?
「12」 Others demand plenty from you in these ways. Don't we who have never demanded deserve even more? But we're not going to start demanding now what we've always had a perfect right to. Our decision all along has been to put up with anything rather than to get in the way or detract from the Message of Christ.
「13」 All I'm concerned with right now is that you not use our decision to take advantage of others, depriving them of what is rightly theirs. You know, don't you, that it's always been taken for granted that those who work in the Temple live off the proceeds of the Temple, and that those who offer sacrifices at the altar eat their meals from what has been sacrificed?
「14」 Along the same lines, the Master directed that those who spread the Message be supported by those who believe the Message.
「15」 Still, I want it made clear that I've never gotten anything out of this for myself, and that I'm not writing now to get something. I'd rather die than give anyone ammunition to discredit me or impugn my motives.
「16」 If I proclaim the Message, it's not to get something out of it for myself. I'm compelled to do it, and doomed if I don't!
「17」 If this was my own idea of just another way to make a living, I'd expect some pay. But since it's not my idea but something solemnly entrusted to me, why would I expect to get paid?
「18」 So am I getting anything out of it? Yes, as a matter of fact： the pleasure of proclaiming the Message at no cost to you. You don't even have to pay my expenses!
「19」 Even though I am free of the demands and expectations of everyone, I have voluntarily become a servant to any and all in order to reach a wide range of people：”

And he didn't send me to do it with a lot of fancy rhetoric of my own, lest the powerful action at the center--Christ on the Cross--be trivialized into mere words.
[18] The Message that points to Christ on the Cross seems like sheer silliness to those hellbent on destruction, but for those on the way of salvation it makes perfect sense. This is the way God works, and most powerfully as it turns out.
[19] It's written, I'll turn conventional wisdom on its head, I'll expose so-called experts as crackpots.
[20] So where can you find someone truly wise, truly educated, truly intelligent in this day and age? Hasn't God exposed it all as pretentious nonsense?
[21] Since the world in all its fancy wisdom never had a clue when it came to knowing God, God in his wisdom took delight in using what the world considered dumb--preaching, of all things!--to bring those who trust him into the way of salvation.
[22] While Jews clamor for miraculous demonstrations and Greeks go in for philosophical wisdom,
[23] we go right on proclaiming Christ, the Crucified. Jews treat this like an anti-miracle--and Greeks pass it off as absurd.
[24] But to us who are personally called by God himself--both Jews and Greeks--Christ is God's ultimate miracle and wisdom all wrapped up in one.
[25] Human wisdom is so tinny, so impotent, next to the seeming absurdity of God. Human strength can't begin to compete with God's "weakness."

‘복음’의 의미
바울에게 있어서 하나님의 부르심은 복음을 전하는 것입니다. 그리고 바울이 말하는 ‘복음’의 의미는 “주 예수 그리스도 안에서의 구원(구속)의 실재를 통해 예수 그리스도를 높이는 것”입니다.
바울의 경우 복음을 설명하기 위해 자신의 구원이나 거룩의 체험을 말할 뿐, 결코 개인 체험을 복음 선포의 목적으로 삼은 적이 없습니다.
신자는 어디에서도 자신의 구원이나 거룩을 선포하도록 의탁 받은 적이 없습니다.
예수 그리스도께서 나를 성자로 만들기 위해 구속의 고난을 당하셨다고 말하지 않아야 합니다.
예수님께서 구속의 고난을 당하신 이유는, 온 세상을 구원하기 위한 것입니다. 세상의 모든 잘못된 것들을 고치시고 다시 새롭게 하신 후에 하나님의 보좌 앞에 돌려드리기 위한 것입니다.

돌아보게 하는 질문들

내 의무를 마쳤다고 느끼지만 그 의무를 수행하면서 주님께 상처를 드린 적은 없습니까?
진정 주께서 맡기신 의무라면, 자신의 만족을 위해 수고할 것이 아니라 오직 겸손과 온유한 마음으로 섬겨야 할 것입니다.
종종 우리는 달갑지 않은 것은 뭐든지 지겨운 의무라고 말합니다.
그러나 하나님의 영이 신자속에서 말씀하실 때 “나는 주의 뜻을 행함으로 기쁩니다. 오 나의 하나님”이라고 고백하게 됩니다.(시 40:8, 새번역) “나의 하나님, 내가 주님의 뜻 행하기를 즐거워합니다. 주님의 법을 제 마음 속에 간직하고 있습니다."”

A warning which needs to be repeated is that “the cares of this world and the deceitfulness of riches,” and the lust for other things, will choke out the life of God in us.

How can we maintain the simplicity of Jesus so that we may understand Him?
By receiving His Spirit, recognizing and relying on Him, and obeying Him as He brings us the truth of His Word, life will become amazingly simple.
예수님에 대한 단순한 말씀은 우리가 단순하지 않기 때문에 항상 우리에게 수수께끼입니다.
어떻게 하면 예수님의 단순함을 유지하면서 그분을 이해할 수 있을까요?
그분의 영을 받고, 그분을 인정하고 의지하며, 그분이 우리에게 말씀의 진리를 알려 주실 때 순종하면 삶은 놀랍도록 단순해질 것입니다.

It is not a one-time experience but an ongoing process.
Am I continually separating myself and looking to God every day of my life?

[13] I'm sure that you've heard the story of my earlier life when I lived in the Jewish way. In those days I went all out in persecuting God's church. I was systematically destroying it.
[14] I was so enthusiastic about the traditions of my ancestors that I advanced head and shoulders above my peers in my career.
[15] Even then God had designs on me. Why, when I was still in my mother's womb he chose and called me out of sheer generosity!
[16] Now he has intervened and revealed his Son to me so that I might joyfully tell non-Jews about him. Immediately after my calling--without consulting anyone around me
[17] and without going up to Jerusalem to confer with those who were apostles long before I was--I got away to Arabia. Later I returned to Damascus,
[18] but it was three years before I went up to Jerusalem to compare stories with Peter. I was there only fifteen days--but what days they were!

비젼을 받는 것보다 더 중요한 것
신자는 거듭 날 때 모두 비젼을 갖게 됩니다.
성령으로 충만하면 예수님께서 원하시는 비젼을 받게 됩니다.
그러나 비젼을 받는 것보다 더 중요한 것은 비젼을 받았을 때 그 비젼에 불순종해서는 안된다는 점입니다. 또한 비젼을 이루는 것이 불가능하다고 말해서는 안 됩니다.
“It is not enough to give mental assent to the fact that God has redeemed the world, nor even to know that the Holy Spirit can make all that Jesus did a reality in my life.
I must have the foundation of a personal relationship with Him. Paul was not given a message or a doctrine to proclaim. He was brought into a vivid, personal, overpowering relationship with Jesus Christ. Acts 26:16 is tremendously compelling “…to make you a minister and a witness….” There would be nothing there without a personal relationship. Paul was devoted to a Person, not to a cause. He was absolutely Jesus Christ’s. He saw nothing else and he lived for nothing else. “For I determined not to know anything among you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified” (1 Corinthians 2:2).”
”하나님께서 세상을 구속하셨다는 사실에 정신적으로 동의하는 것만으로는 충분하지 않으며, 심지어 성령께서 예수님께서 하신 모든 일을 내 삶에서 실현하실 수 있다는 것을 아는 것만으로는 충분하지 않습니다.

[8] How much more dazzling, then, the Government of Living Spirit?
[9] If the Government of Condemnation was impressive, how about this Government of Affirmation?
[10] Bright as that old government was, it would look downright dull alongside this new one.
[11] If that makeshift arrangement impressed us, how much more this brightly shining government installed for eternity?
[12] With that kind of hope to excite us, nothing holds us back.
[13] Unlike Moses, we have nothing to hide. Everything is out in the open with us. He wore a veil so the children of Israel wouldn't notice that the glory was fading away--
[14] and they didn't notice. They didn't notice it then and they don't notice it now, don't notice that there's nothing left behind that veil.
[15] Even today when the proclamations of that old, bankrupt government are read out, they can't see through it. Only Christ can get rid of the veil so they can see for themselves that there's nothing there.
[16] Whenever, though, they turn to face God as Moses did, God removes the veil and there they are--face to face!
[17] They suddenly recognize that God is a living, personal presence, not a piece of chiseled stone. And when God is personally present, a living Spirit, that old, constricting legislation is recognized as obsolete. We're free of it!
[18] All of us! Nothing between us and God, our faces shining with the brightness of his face. And so we are transfigured much like the Messiah, our lives gradually becoming brighter and more beautiful as God enters our lives and we become like him.

성령 충만
성령충만을 받으면 변화하게 되는데, 이때 신자들은 자신들을 보는 사람들에게 거울의 역활을 하게 됩니다.
영광 그리고 훨씬 더 빛나는 영광(점점 더 큰 영광)
어떤 사람이 하나님의 영광을 계속 보아왔다면, 그는 거울처럼 하나님의 성품을 반사할 수 밖에 없기 때문에 누구든지 그 신자를 보면 자신의 영혼 깊은 곳에서 신자를 통해 본 하나님의 영광을 인정할 수 밖에 없습니다.
그러므로 신자의 거울을 더럽히는 것들을 주의해야 합니다.
신자는 계속 해서 자신에게 영의 직분이 주어졌음을 잊지 말고 주님께 집중하여 ‘점점 더 빛나고 점점 더 큰 영광’을 간절히 사모하여 목도해야 합니다.
가장 귀한 진리
신자의 삶에서 가장 귀한 진리는 언제나 하나님을 향해 계속 집중해야 한다는 것입니다. 즉 신자는 마음의 거울을 통해 주님의 영광을 계속 바라보는 훈련을 해야 합니다.

[20] 이방 나라에서 살아 남은 자들아, 모여 오너라. 다 함께 가까이 오너라. "나무 우상을 들고 다니는 자들과, 구원하지도 못하는 신에게 기도하는 자들은, 무지한 자들이다.
[21] 너희는 앞 일을 말하고 진술하여 보아라. 함께 의논하여 보아라. 누가 예로부터 이 일을 들려주었으며, 누가 이전부터 이 일을 알려 주었느냐? 나 주가 아니고 누구냐? 나 밖에 다른 신은 없다. 나는 공의와 구원을 베푸는 하나님이니, 나 밖에 다른 신은 없다."
[22] 땅 끝까지 흩어져 있는 사람들아! 모두 나에게 돌아와서 구원을 받아라. "내가 하나님이며, 나 밖에 다른 신은 없기 때문이다.
[23] 내가 나를 두고 맹세한다. 나의 입에서 공의로운 말이 나갔으니, 그 말이 거저 되돌아오지는 않는다." 모두가 내 앞에 무릎을 꿇을 것이다. 모두들 나에게 충성을 맹세할 것이다.
[24] '참으로 주님께만 공의와 능력이 있다'고 사람들이 나에게 고백할 것이다. 사람들이 그에게 올 것이나, 그에게 대항하던 자들은 모두 부끄러움을 당할 것이다.
[25] 그러나 이스라엘 자손은 모두 주 안에서 의롭다는 인정을 받고, 영예를 얻을 것이다.

[20] “Gather together and come; assemble, you fugitives from the nations. Ignorant are those who carry about idols of wood, who pray to gods that cannot save.
[21] Declare what is to be, present it - let them take counsel together. Who foretold this long ago, who declared it from the distant past? Was it not I, the Lord? And there is no God apart from me, a righteous God and a Savior; there is none but me.
[22] “Turn to me and be saved, all you ends of the earth; for I am God, and there is no other.
[23] By myself I have sworn, my mouth has uttered in all integrity a word that will not be revoked: Before me every knee will bow; by me every tongue will swear.
[24] They will say of me, ‘In the Lord alone are deliverance and strength.’” All who have raged against him will come to him and be put to shame.
[25] But all the descendants of Israel will find deliverance in the Lord and will make their boast in him.

[20] So gather around, come on in, all you refugees and castoffs. They don't seem to know much, do they-- those who carry around their no-god blocks of wood, praying for help to a dead stick?
[21] So tell me what you think. Look at the evidence. Put your heads together. Make your case. Who told you, and a long time ago, what's going on here? Who made sense of things for you? Wasn't I the one? GOD? It had to be me. I'm the only God there is-- The only God who does things right and knows how to help.
[22] So turn to me and be helped--saved!-- everyone, whoever and wherever you are. I am GOD, the only God there is, the one and only.
[23] I promise in my own name： Every word out of my mouth does what it says. I never take back what I say. Everyone is going to end up kneeling before me. Everyone is going to end up saying of me,
[24] 'Yes! Salvation and strength are in GOD!'" All who have raged against him will be brought before him, disgraced by their unbelief.
[25] And all who are connected with Israel will have a robust, praising, good life in GOD!

주님께서 신자를 축복하시며 구원을 베푸시기를 기대합니까? 주님은 “내게로 돌이켜 구원을 받으라”고 하십니다.
하나님께 집중하는 것을 방해하는 것
영적으로 하나님께 집중하는 것을 어렵게 하는 것이 ‘축복’입니다.
축복은 신자로 하여금 다른 것을 보게 하시 쉽습니다.
반면에 고난은 거의 언제나 신자로 하여금 하나님을 보게 합니다.
”내가 하나님께 집중하는 것을 방해하는 것은 무엇인가?”
”무엇이 나를 하나님께 가까이 나아가는 것을 방해하고 있는가?”
자리에서 일어나 하나님을 바라보십시오
주님께 소망을 두십시오.
우리를 압박하는 일들이 많더라도 그 모든 염려를 옆으로 밀어두고 주님만 바라보겠다고 결심하십시오. “나를 앙망하라” 주님을 바라보는 순간 신자가 어떤 상황 가운데 있더라도 구원이 있습니다.
Wake yourself up and look to God. Build your hope on Him. No matter how many things seem to be pressing in on you, be determined to push them aside and look to Him. “Look to Me….” Salvation is yours the moment you look.
