By the Lord's wonderful guidance, I was installed as pastor of Worship Frontier Church of Boston on March 11, 2018.
1987년에 대학 캠퍼스 리더로 헌신한 이후 강산이 세번 바뀌는 시간동안, 선교단체 캠퍼스 간사, 지역교회 청년대학부 담당 목사, 그리고 대학도시에서 목회를 해오던 중에 뜻밖의 초청으로 보스톤으로 오게 되었습니다. 꿈에서도 생각하지 못했던 보스톤의 생활이지만, 시간이 지날 수록 하나님의 인도하심과 섭리임을 고백하게 됩니다.Since dedicating myself as a college campus leader in 1987, through three decades of change, I served as a campus staff worker with a mission organization, as a pastor overseeing young adult and college ministry at a local church, and was pastoring in a college town when an unexpected invitation brought me to Boston. Life in Boston was something I had never imagined even in my dreams, yet the longer I've been here, the more I confess it to be God's guidance and providence.
'인생의 후반전과 목회의 후반전을 어떻게 살아가야 하는가?'에 대한 질문을 가지고, 저는 2017년 가을부터 몇개월 동안 세계 곳곳에 흩어져 있는 믿음의 친구들과 동역자들을 만나는 여행을 하였습니다. 이러한 만남을 통하여 순전하고 충성스러운 분들이 하나님께 쓰임받고 있음을 모습을 보게 되었습니다. 또한 하나님께서는 참으로 사랑이시기에, 하나님의 사람들은 먼저 하나님의 사랑을 받아 누리며, 그 사랑을 흘려보내는 삶을 살게 됨을 보았습니다.Carrying the question, 'How should I live out the second half of my life and the second half of my ministry?', I spent several months from the fall of 2017 traveling to meet friends and coworkers in the faith scattered across the world. Through these encounters, I witnessed pure and faithful people being used by God. I also saw that because God is truly love, God's people first receive and enjoy His love, and then go on to live lives that pour that love out to others.
이제 이곳에서 목회하면서, 신실하시며 사랑이 많으신 하나님을 더욱 만나기를 간절히 원합니다. 그리하여 성도님들과 함께 따뜻하고 부드러운 하나님의 사랑을 누리는 즐겁고 행복한 공동체를 이루길 원합니다."Now, as I minister here, I earnestly desire to encounter more and more the faithful and loving God. And so, together with our church members, I long to build a joyful and happy community that enjoys the warm and gentle love of God."
