「2」 많은 무리가 모여드니, 예수께서는 배에 올라가서 앉으셨다. 무리는 모두 물가에 서 있었다.
「3」 예수께서 그들에게 비유로 여러 가지 일을 말씀하셨다. 그는 이렇게 말씀하셨다. "보아라, 씨를 뿌리는 사람이 씨를 뿌리러 나갔다.
「4」 그가 씨를 뿌리는데, 더러는 길가에 떨어지니, 새들이 와서, 그것을 쪼아먹었다.
「5」 또 더러는 흙이 많지 않은 돌짝밭에 떨어지니, 흙이 깊지 않아서 싹은 곧 났지만,
「6」 해가 뜨자 타버리고, 뿌리가 없어서 말라버렸다.
「7」 또 더러는 가시덤불에 떨어지니, 가시덤불이 자라서 그 기운을 막았다.
「8」 그러나 더러는 좋은 땅에 떨어져서 열매를 맺었는데, 어떤 것은 백 배가 되고, 어떤 것은 육십 배가 되고, 어떤 것은 삼십 배가 되었다.”

  「2」 Such large crowds gathered around him that he got into a boat and sat in it, while all the people stood on the shore.

  「3」 Then he told them many things in parables, saying: “A farmer went out to sow his seed.

  「4」 As he was scattering the seed, some fell along the path, and the birds came and ate it up.

  「5」 Some fell on rocky places, where it did not have much soil. It sprang up quickly, because the soil was shallow.

  「6」 But when the sun came up, the plants were scorched, and they withered because they had no root.

  「7」 Other seed fell among thorns, which grew up and choked the plants.

  「8」 Still other seed fell on good soil, where it produced a crop - a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown.”

성경은 신자의 삶에 열매가 풍성하다고 증거합니다. 그러한 삶은 어떤 삶일까요?
The Bible testifies that the life of a believer is fruitful. What does that life look like?

21. 열매를 맺는 포도나무 / Fruit-bearing vines

(요 15:5, 새번역)“나는 포도나무요, 너희는 가지이다. 사람이 내 안에 머물러 있고, 내가 그 안에 머물러 있으면, 그는 많은 열매를 맺는다. 너희는 나를 떠나서는 아무것도 할 수 없다.”

““I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.”

(1) 포도나무에 붙어 있는 가지만, 나무로 부터 영양분을 공급받습니다.
(2) 제가 신자로서 날마다 필요한 영양분을 날마다 공급받게 하소서
(3) 그 길은, 말씀(성경)과 기도의 연합입니다. (매일 QT 하기, 매일 제단쌓기)

(1) Only branches that are attached to the vine receive nutrients from the tree.
(2) Let me, as a believer, receive the nourishment I need every day of my life.
(3) The way is the union of the Word (Bible) and prayer (daily QT, daily altar building).

포도나무에 붙어 있는 가지가 열매를 맺는다. 가지 홀로 열매를 맺는 것이 아니라 나무가 열매를 맺는 것이다.
The branch attached to the vine bears fruit. The branch does not bear fruit alone; the tree does.

22. 열매를 맺는 밭 / Fruitful fields

>> The Holy Spirit has no memorized principles.

마태복음 13장에는 예수님께서 비유의 이야기를 들려주십니다. (씨뿌리는 자의 비유, 밭의 비유, 씨의 비유)

- 여러종류의 밭(땅)이 있습니다. (길, 돌밭, 가시덤불 밭,좋은 밭)
- 여러종류의 결실이 있습니다 (열매가 없음 / 30배, 60배, 100배의 열매)

In Matthew 13, Jesus tells the story of a parable (Parable of the Sower, Parable of the Field, Parable of the Seed).

- There are different types of fields (ground) (paths, stony ground, thorny ground, good ground) - there are different types of fruit (no fruit / 30, 60, 100 times fruit)

-- 비유이기 때문에 여러가지 해석들이 있을 수 있습니다.

: 예를 들어, “생명의 삶공부”에서 배우는 것 (우리가 만나는 vip들은 다양하다. 모두 좋은 땅일 수 없다. 그러므로 전도는 “벽돌쌓기” 이다)

-- because it's an analogy, it's open to multiple interpretations.
: For example, what we learn from "The Life Lesson" (the VIPs we meet are diverse; they can't all be good ground; evangelism is "bricklaying")

-- 매우 조심 해야할 해석이 있습니다 : “좋은 땅이 되자”
이러한 해석을 포도나무 비유와 연결하면, 좋은 가지가 되자! 이렇게 해석 할 수 있습니다.
물론, 좋은 가지가 되면, 좋은 열매를 맺을 수 있다. 문제는 가지가 자신의 능력으로 좋은 가지가 될 수 없다는 것입니다.

그래서, 마태복음 13장의 비유의 결론을 “좋은 땅이 되자” 그래서 “30배, 60배, 100배의 풍성한 열매를 거두자!”라는 해석은 위험할 수 있다는 것입니다. 이러한 해석은 신앙을 윤리와 종교로 바꿉니다.

There is an interpretation to be very careful with "Let's be good ground."
If we connect this interpretation with the vine analogy, we can interpret it like this: Let's be good branches! Of course, if you become a good branch, you can bear good fruit. The problem is that a branch can't be a good branch in its own power.

So, the danger of interpreting the conclusion of the parable in Matthew 13 as "let's be good soil" and therefore "let's produce 30, 60, 100 times as much fruit!" is that it turns faith into ethics and religion.

23. 물병의 비유 / The Parable of the Water Bottle

- 여러분은 (신자는) 병입니다.

신자는: 가지입니다. 땅(밭)입니다.
가죽 부대입니다. 그릇입니다. 성령의 전입니다. 그리스도의 집입니다. 교회입니다.

- You (the believer) are a bottle.

The believer is: It is a branch; it is the ground (field); it is a leather bag; it is a vessel. It is the house of the Holy Spirit.It is the house of Christ. It is the church.

- 마 13장의 별명은 씨뿌리는 자의 비유 / 밭의 비유 / 씨의 비유 라고 할 수 있습니다. 어떤 표현이 제일 잘 된 것일까요?

- 씨의 비유입니다.

- 나는 길가와 같다.
- 나는 돌짝밭이다.
- 나는 가시덤불 밭이다.
- (나는 좋은 땅이다. *이렇게 말할 수 있는 사람이 몇이나 될까요?)

- Matthew 13 has been nicknamed the Parable of the Sower / Parable of the Field / Parable of the Seed. Which is the best way to say it?

- Do not compare the condition of each other's fields. Only build each other up by seeing whether the seed of Jesus has been sown and whether you have become a branch attached to the tree called Jesus, that is, whether you have received Jesus. .

- May I be like the roadside (a field of stones, thorns, and briars), unable to produce fruit even though the seed was sown, but the seed of Jesus was sown, and the fruit of Jesus was produced. (Testimony of Faith)

- And so the mystery of faith produced fruit in me. Its abundance is 30 times 60 times 100 times.

- So that I may be able to say that this news is gospel (good news) to me . . Amen?

30. 말씀과 기도의 연합 - Uniting the Word and Prayer

이제 우리는 이 복음앞에서 어떻게 반응하고 어떻게 매일 매일을 살아야 할까요?

>> Now, how do we respond and how do we live each day in the face of this gospel?

- 간절함으로 권면합니다.
'그러므로 하나님의 자비하심으로 권하노니 ...'라고 사도바울이 권했던 것 처럼..
- 이제는 말씀으로 기도하십시오.

- We exhort with urgency, just as the Apostle Paul exhorted, 'I urge you therefore by the mercy of God...'.
- Now pray with the Word.

- 자신의 생각으로 기도하지 마십시오.
- 습관적으로 기도하지 마십시오.
- 중언부언하지 마십시오.
- 알지 못하는 것을 가지고 기도하지 마십시오.
- 생각 없이 기도하지 마십시오.

- Don't pray with your own thoughts - Don't pray out of habit - Don't pray incoherently. - Do not pray with what you do not know - Do not pray without thinking.

- 말씀과 기도의 연합을 위해 애 쓰는 2025년이 되길 바랍니다.
- 그러면 어떻게 말씀을 가지고 기도할 수 있을까요?

- May 2025 be a year in which we strive for the union of the Word and prayer. - So how do we pray with the Word?

31. 오늘날 우리는 어떻게 성경을 읽고 있는가?

>> How do we read the Bible today?

오늘 날 그리스도인이 성경을 읽는 일반적인 방식은, 빨리, 단순화시켜서, 정보를 모으기 위한 방편으로 그리고 무엇보다도 실제적으로 읽는 것이다.
- 여기서 우리가 얻을 수 있는 것이 무엇인가, 우리가 활용할 수 있는 것이 무엇인가, 우리가 지금 당장 사용할 수 있을 것이 무엇인가를 생각하며 성경을 읽는다.

항상, "우리가 .. 우리가 ..우리가 .. 우리가 .. '가 제일 중요하다.

예수를 따르는 것과, 우리 몸으로 우리의 환경 가운데서 구체적으로 그분의 생명이라는 선물에 따라 사는 것에 대해 진지하게 생각하고 있다면, '우리'로 가득 찬 급류를 거슬러 올라가야만 한다.

이제는, 예수님이 그리고 그분의 생명이라는 선물이 우리에게 보여 주신 세상에 대해 잘 알고 있어야만 한다.

우리는 성경을 천천히, 상상력을 가지고, 기도하는 마음으로, 순종적으로 읽음으로써 그렇게 할 수 있다. 여기서, 중요한 것은, 천천히 - 상상력을 가지고 - 기도하는 마음으로 - 순종적 - 이다.

>> The common way Christians read the Bible today is to read it quickly, simplistically, as a way to gather information, and above all, practically. - We read the Bible thinking about what we can get out of it, what we can utilize, what we can use right now.

It's always about "we... we... we... we... we...

If we're serious about following Jesus and living out his gift of life in our bodies and in our environment specifically, we have to wade through the rapids of "we".

Now, we must become familiar with the world that Jesus and his gift of life have shown us.

We can do this by reading the Bible slowly, imaginatively, prayerfully, and obediently. The key words here are: slowly, imaginatively, prayerfully, and obediently.

32. 성경은 참으로 굉장히 광대하다.

- The Bible is indeed very vast and deep.

32-1. “천천히” 성경을 읽는다.

>> Read the Bible "slowly."

: 성경은 참으로 굉장히 광대하다

- 그 광대함에 적응하려면 시간이 필요하다. 우리는 그 규모에 익숙하지 않다. '우리는 소민국의 길거리와 뒷골목에서 자랐다.' 우리의 눈과 마음과 생각과 혀는 적응하는 데 더 많은 시간이 필요하다.

- 우리가 성경속으로 너무 빨리 들어가거나 너무 빨리 훑고 지나간다면, (그랜드 케년이나 케년랜드 스테이트 팍에 오는 대부분의 사람들은 그 속으로 들어가지 않고, 대부분 사진 몇장만 찍고 다른 곳으로 이동한다) 성경 안에 있는 대부분의 것을 놓치고 말것이다.

- 성경은 하나님과 관련된 세상을 보여준다. 그것은 내가 사는 곳보다 훨씬 큰 세상이다. 인간은 죄로 속박된 세상에 살고 있으며, 우리의 감정, 좌절, 욕구, 생각, 업적, 실패, 상처에 대해서 성경은 이야기 한다. 성경에는 하나님의 사랑과 은혜가 깊고도 넓게 자리잡고 있으며, 그 자비와 신비의 경이로움이 가득 차 있다. 또한 죄가 철저하게 드러나 있으며, 심판의 선고가 강하게 드러나 있다. 이것은 참으로 굉장한 세상이며, 그 광대함에 적응하려면 참으로 시간이 필요하다.

- It takes time to adjust to its vastness. We are not used to its scale. "We grew up in the streets and back alleys of small countries." Our eyes, hearts, minds, and tongues need more time to adjust.

- If we go into the Bible too quickly or skim through it too quickly (most people who come to the Grand Canyon or Kenyonlands State Park don't go into it; they take a few pictures and move on), we miss most of what it has to offer.

- The Bible shows us the world in relation to God. It is a world much bigger than where I live. We live in a sin-bound world, and the Bible talks about our feelings, frustrations, desires, ideas, accomplishments, failures, and hurts. The Bible is full of the depth and breadth of God's love and grace, the wonder of his mercy and mystery. It is also full of sin, and it is full of judgment. It is indeed an awesome world, and it takes time to adjust to its vastness.

(막 2:22) “새 포도주를 낡은 가죽 부대에 넣는 자가 없나니 만일 그렇게 하면 새 포도주가 부대를 터뜨려 포도주와 부대를 버리게 되리라 오직 새 포도주는 새 부대에 넣느니라 하시니라”

(Mark 2:22) "No one puts new wine into old wineskins; for if he does, the new wine will burst the wineskins and throw out the wine and the wineskins; but new wine is put into new wineskins."

(막 2:17-22, 새번역) “「17」 예수께서 그 말을 들으시고 그들에게 말씀하셨다. "건강한 사람에게는 의사가 필요하지 않으나, 병든 사람에게는 필요하다. 나는 의인을 부르러 온 것이 아니라 죄인을 부르러 왔다."

「18」 요한의 제자들과 바리새파 사람들은 금식하고 있었다. 사람들이 예수께 와서 물었다. "요한의 제자들과 바리새파 사람의 제자들은 금식하는데, 왜 선생님의 제자들은 금식하지 않습니까?"

「22」 또, 새 포도주를 낡은 가죽 부대에 담는 사람은 없다. 그렇게 하면 포도주가 가죽 부대를 터뜨려서, 포도주도 가죽 부대도 다 버리게 된다. 새 포도주는 새 가죽 부대에 담아야 한다."”

(막 2:17-22, NIV11) “「17」 On hearing this, Jesus said to them, “It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.”

「18」 Now John’s disciples and the Pharisees were fasting. Some people came and asked Jesus, “How is it that John’s disciples and the disciples of the Pharisees are fasting, but yours are not?”

「19」 Jesus answered, “How can the guests of the bridegroom fast while he is with them? They cannot, so long as they have him with them.

「20」 But the time will come when the bridegroom will be taken from them, and on that day they will fast.

「21」 “No one sews a patch of unshrunk cloth on an old garment. Otherwise, the new piece will pull away from the old, making the tear worse.

「22」 And no one pours new wine into old wineskins. Otherwise, the wine will burst the skins, and both the wine and the wineskins will be ruined. No, they pour new wine into new wineskins.””

「18」 The disciples of John and the disciples of the Pharisees made a practice of fasting. Some people confronted Jesus： "Why do the followers of John and the Pharisees take on the discipline of fasting, but your followers don't?"

「19, 20」 Jesus said, "When you're celebrating a wedding, you don't skimp on the cake and wine. You feast. Later you may need to pull in your belt, but not now. As long as the bride and groom are with you, you have a good time. No one throws cold water on a friendly bonfire. This is Kingdom Come!"

「21」 He went on, "No one cuts up a fine silk scarf to patch old work clothes; you want fabrics that match.

「22」 And you don't put your wine in cracked bottles."”

• 신자는 제자이며 순례자이다. 신자는 예수의 제자이며 예수을 길을 따라 행한다.

  순례자는 길을 떠나 하나님이 인도하시는 곳을 향하여 나아간다.
  >> A believer is a disciple and a pilgrim. A believer is a disciple of Jesus and follows Jesus along the way. A pilgrim leaves the path and moves toward where God is leading.

• 아브라함도 본토 친적 집을 떠났다. 야곱도 부모의 집을 떠났다. 모세도 왕궁에서 떠났다(광야로 도망쳤다). 다윗도 광야로 떠났다 (도망 쳤다).
  >> Abraham left his native land and home. Jacob left his parents' home. Moses left the royal palace (fled to the wilderness). David left (fled) to the wilderness.

11. 한 길 가는 순례자 / A Long Obedience in the Same Direction

이 문장은 유진 피터슨 목사가 1980년에 시편 120편에서 134편의 “성전에 올라가는 노래”에 책을 썼는데, 그 책의 제목입니다. 신자가 순례자의 삶을 어떻게 살아갈 수 있는 지에 대해서 쓴 책입니다.
>> This sentence was written by Pastor Eugene Peterson in 1980 in a book on Psalms 120 through 134, "Songs of Ascent to the Temple," which is the title of the book. It's a book about how a believer can live the life of a pilgrim.

2000년에 20주년 기념판 서문에서 “하나님은 변하지 않으셨다. 하나님은 잃어버린 자를 찾고 구원하신다. 그리고 예수 그리스도 안에서 자신을 계시하시는 하나님에 대한 사람의 응답도 변하지 않았다. 사람들은 예수 안에서 하나님을 듣고 하나님을 따르든지 그렇게 하지 않든지 둘 중 하나다.
하나님과 하나님을 필요로 할 수 밖에 없는 사람의 실존이라는 기본 전제 앞에 서면 사람은 언제나 원점으로 돌아간다. 그렇게 볼 때 우리는 매일 처음부터 다시 출발하는 것이다. “
>> God has not changed. God seeks and saves the lost, and man's response to God revealing himself in Jesus Christ hasn't changed either. People either hear God in Jesus and follow God or they don't. When confronted with the basic premise of the existence of God and people in need of God, people always come back to square one. In that sense, we start from scratch every day.

신자는 매일 출발하는 순례자입니다. 그리고 우리는 2025년을 주님 앞에서 함께 출발하려고 이 자리에 모인 것입니다. 이제 출발합시다. 새롭게 다가오는 2025년에 우리 자신에게 주어지는 순례자의 길에서 방향을 놓치지 않고 함께, 꾸준히, 기쁘게 그 길을 가도록 시작합시다.

새로운 시작을 위해서 신자는 결단하고 헌신하고 주님께 기도해야 합니다. 이제 어떠한 결단과 헌신을 할수 있는지 살펴봅시다.
>> For a new beginning, a believer must make a decision, commit, and pray to the Lord. Let's see what kind of decision and commitment you can make.

21.2025년에 우리는 pilgrims of hope 입니다.

>> In 2025, we are PILGRIMS OF HOPE.

새해의 문턱에 서 있는 우리에게 오늘 본문의 말씀은 하나님 안에서 은혜와 희망을 받아들일 수 있는 새로운 그릇이 될 수 있는 방법을 찾으라고 권면하고 있습니다.
>> As we stand on the threshold of a new year, today's text invites us to find ways to become new vessels for God's grace and hope.

“새 포도주를 낡은 가죽 부대에 넣는 자가 없나니 만일 그렇게 하면 새 포도주가 부대를 터뜨려 포도주와 부대를 버리게 되리라. 오직 새 포도주는 새 부대에 넣느니라 하시니라”
"No man puts new wine into old wineskins; for if he does, the new wine will burst the wineskins, and the wine and the wineskins will be thrown away; but new wine is put into new wineskins."

22. 예수님의 이야기속의 비유를 통한 지혜

>> Wisdom through parables in Jesus' stories

예수님 시대에는 동물 가죽으로 포도주를 담는 주머니를 만들었습니다. 아직 발효 중인 새 포도주는 팽창하기 때문에 늘어날 수 있는 새가죽으로 만든 새 부대가 필요했습니다. 이미 늘어난 낡은 가죽 부대는 새 포도주를 담으면 결국 터지게 됩니다.
>> In Jesus' day, animal skins were used to make pouches for wine. New wine that is still fermenting expands, so they needed new bags made from new skins that could be stretched. Old leather bags that were already stretched would eventually burst when filled with new wine.

예수님은 자신이 제공하는 새 생명을 받아들이는 것은 “새 포주를 받아 들이는 부대”와 같다고 말씀하시면서 “낡은 가죽 부대 아니라 새 가죽 부대”가 필요함을 말씀하십니다. 새해를 맞이하고자 하는 신자에게 주님은 “새 가죽 부대”처럼 신축성이 있고 유동성이 있는 부대 처럼 변화될 것을 살펴보라고 말씀하시는 것입니다.
>> Jesus says that accepting the new life he offers is like "a troop accepting a new pimp" and that we need "new leather bags, not old ones." As a believer looking to start a new year, the Lord is telling us to look to change like a "new leather bag," one that is stretchable and flexible.

23. 변화을 위한 요청 / Request for change

2025년에 들어서면서 신자는 성령의 새 포도주를 받아들이는 새 부대가 되라는 부르심을 받았습니다. 날마다 우리를 새롭게 하시는 성령님이 새 포도주입니다. 예수님이 말씀하신 풍성한 삶이 새 포도주의 삶입니다. 이러한 변화를 위해서는 우리의 영적 성장을 방해하는 오래된 습관, 편견, 패턴을 버려야 합니다. 이는 우리에게 용기와 믿음으로 변화를 수용하도록 도전합니다. “미루지 말고, 옛 습관을 따르지 말고, 창조적인 삶을 잃어버린 게으름에 빠져 있지 않아야 합니다.”
>> As we enter the year 2025, believers are called to be a new batch of recipients of the new wine of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit, who renews us day by day, is the new wine. The abundant life Jesus spoke of is the life of the new wine. This transformation requires us to let go of old habits, biases, and patterns that hinder our spiritual growth. It challenges us to embrace change with courage and faith. "Do not procrastinate, do not follow old habits, do not wallow in laziness that has robbed you of your creative life."

24. 새해를 위한 실천/ Practical Steps for the New Year

2025년 새해는 대각성의 기회입니다. 즉, 낡은 패턴을 버리고 하나님께서 새로운 방식으로 일하실 수 있는 기회를 마련합시다.
>> The new year of 2025 is an opportunity for a great awakening: let's let go of old patterns and make room for God to work in new ways.

24-1. 청소년 및 청년들에게 :

올해 보스턴에서의 시간은 가능성이 가득한 새로운 와인과 같습니다. 하나님은 당신을 형성하고, 당신의 믿음을 확장하고, 앞으로 일어날 일을 위해 당신을 준비시키고 계십니다. 변화와 발전이 여러분 앞에 에 열려 있습니다. 도전하는 것 조차도 성장하는 데 도움이 될 것임을 믿으십시오. 도전하고 도전 합시다. 달려갑시다. “I'm off and running, and I'm not turning back.” (Phil 3:14, The Message)

"39」 높거나 낮거나, 생각할 수 있거나 생각할 수 없는 어떤 것도 우리 주 예수님이 우리를 품어 주신 방식 때문에 우리와 하나님의 사랑 사이를 가로막을 수 없습니다."

23. 신자의 삶은 내면에서부터 변화될 것입니다.

신자는 하나님의 놀라운 자비하심을 힘입어 매일 매일을 살게 됩니다.

신자에게는 은혜, 선택과 책임, 영광의 삶이 매일 매일 주어집니다. 자신이 매일 매일 가장 자주하는 그 일과 그 사람들 사이에서 하나님이 당신을 위해서 하시는 일이 있습니다.
아무런 댓가도 없이 거져주시기 때문에 은혜입니다. 그러나 은혜를 받은 백성들은 성령으로 인하여 스스로 선택하고 선택한 것에 대한 책임을 지면서 살아가는 법을 연습하게 됩니다. 그리하여 주님께서 신자에게 주시고자 하는 영광을 조금씩 조금씩 맞보게 됩니다.
>> As a believer, you are given a life of grace, choice-&- responsibility, and glory every day. There is something God is doing for you in those things and among those people that you do most often each day.
It's grace because it's given without expecting anything in return, but those who receive grace, by the Holy Spirit, practice making their own choices and taking responsibility for what they choose to do. And so, little by little, they get a glimpse of the glory that the Lord wants to give to the believer.

21. 성령님의 거룩하게 하는 일은?

>> What is the Holy Spirit's sanctifying work?

예수님은 성령님을 통해 일하십니다.
>> Jesus works through the Holy Spirit.

예수님을 영접한 신자들은 변화하고 거룩하고 성숙하고 더 지혜롭고 더 사랑스럽기를 소원하며 살아갑니다. 이것을 경험하는 것이 성화의 삶입니다.
성령님은 신자를 이러한 삶을 살아가는 거룩한 사람으로 이끌어 가십니다.
성령님의 거룩하게 하시는 일에 반응하는 것을 신자의 영적인 삶이라고 합니다.
많은 분들이 교회를 다니면서도 영적인 삶에 대하여 잘 알지 못합니다.

>> Believers who have accepted Jesus live with the desire to be changed, to be holier, more mature, wiser, and more loving. Experiencing this is the life of sanctification.
The Holy Spirit leads the believer to be a holy person who lives this life.
Responding to the Holy Spirit's sanctifying work is called the spiritual life of a believer.
Many people go to church but don't know much about the spiritual life.

예수님은 우리가 있는 곳에서 우리를 만나주시는 분이라고 하는 말은 매우 중요합니다. 그러므로 성령님의 사역에도 이러한 모습이 나타납니다.

>> The Holy Spirit responds to the believer in the way that Jesus ministered.There is no rote ministry with Jesus. It is very important to say that Jesus is the one who meets us where we are. So this is how the work of the Holy Spirit is manifested.

- In the Bleak Midwinter / 황량한 한겨울에

This morning my wife, Nan, and I were each feeling mildly overwhelmed by the pressures of life. The family had succumbed to various combinations of flu, bronchitis, pneumonia, and head colds over Christmas. A week later, both of us still half-sick and weary. On top of this, we were pressed by a weight of concern for an elderly loved one battling intractable, deteriorating health problems. Nan faced a swarm of decisions and projects arising from a kitchen renovation, and I was deep in snowdrifts of overdue grading, correspondence, and writing projects. The net effect?

>> The couple chose to start their day anew through the Word, or more specifically, through the Word that God gave them personally through the Holy Spirit.

33. 신명기 32장 / Deuteronomy 32

「10」 주님께서 광야에서 야곱을 찾으셨고, 짐승의 울음소리만 들려 오는 황야에서 그를 만나, 감싸 주고, 보호하고, 당신의 눈동자처럼 지켜 주셨다.

「11」 마치 독수리가 그 보금자리를 뒤흔들고 새끼들 위에서 퍼덕이며, 날개를 펴서 새끼들을 받아 그 날개 위에 업어 나르듯이,

「12」 주님께서만 홀로 그 백성을 인도하셨다. 다른 신은 옆에 있지도 않았다.”

「10」 In a desert land he found him, in a barren and howling waste. He shielded him and cared for him; he guarded him as the apple of his eye,

「11」 like an eagle that stirs up its nest and hovers over its young, that spreads its wings to catch them and carries them aloft.

34. 예레미야 애가 3 / Jeremiah Lamentations 3

「21」 그러나 마음 속으로 곰곰이 생각하며 오히려 희망을 가지는 것은,
「22」 주님의 한결같은 사랑이 다함이 없고 그 긍휼이 끝이 없기 때문이다.

「23」 "주님의 사랑과 긍휼이 아침마다 새롭고, 주님의 신실이 큽니다."

「24」 나는 늘 말하였다. "주님은 내가 가진 모든 것, 주님은 나의 희망!"

「25」 주님께서는, 주님을 기다리는 사람이나 주님을 찾는 사람에게 복을 주신다.

35. 고린도후서 4 / 2 Corinthians 4

(고후 4:6, 새번역) “"어둠 속에 빛이 비쳐라" 하고 말씀하신 하나님께서, 우리의 마음 속을 비추셔서, [예수] 그리스도의 얼굴에 나타난 하나님의 영광을 아는 지식의 빛을 우리에게 주셨습니다. / ①창 1:3”

(2Co 4:6, NIV11) “For God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of God’s glory displayed in the face of Christ. / *Gen. 1:3”

36. 한 말씀으로 모든 것을 해결하지 않아야 한다.

>> Don't be a one-size-fits-all.

말씀으로 새로운 용기를 얻은 신자는 더 폭넓게 자신의 삶을 하나님께 드려야 한다. 다음의 9가지 삶의 모습에 힘써 헌신하기를 권면합니다.

>> A believer who is refreshed by the Word should give his or her life to God in a broader way. We encourage you to commit to the following nine aspects of your life.

36-1. 조심해야 할 태도 / Attitudes to watch out for

- 어떤 어려움, 어떤 상황, 어떤 변화, 어떤 새로움을 경험하던 다른 내용들을 함께 살펴야 한다. 신앙인의 어리석음은 자신이 경험하고 은혜받은 그 한가지에만 머무르려고 하는 것이다. 사탄은 이러한 신자의 태도를 좋하하고 부추긴다.

>> Whatever difficulties, whatever circumstances, whatever changes, whatever newness we experience, we need to look at other things. The foolishness of the believer is to dwell on the one thing he has experienced and been graced with. Satan loves and encourages this attitude of the believer.

36-2. 9가지 기본 말씀의 내용 / Nine basic statements

1. Remember God's Sovereignty
   Trust that God is in control and works all things for the good of those who love Him. When you realize He has called you into His saving plan through Christ, the meaning of your struggles changes.
   - 하나님이 주권자이시며, 하나님을 사랑하는 자들에게 모든 것을 합력하여 선을 이루신다는 사실을 기억하세요. 당신의 고난은 하나님이 그리스도 안에서 당신을 구원의 목적에 부르셨음을 깨달을 때 그 의미가 바뀝니다.

2. Reaffirm Your Identity in Christ
   Remind yourself that your identity is rooted in Jesus Christ. He is the anchor of your salvation, and all other identities are secondary.
   - 그리스도 안에서 당신의 정체성을 되새기고 기억하세요. 예수 그리스도와의 연합은 당신의 구원의 닻입니다. 그 외의 모든 정체성은 부차적인 것입니다.

3. Seek Accountability
   Ensure you have honest and supportive relationships. None of us is meant to carry our burdens alone. God often uses others to help us as we serve Christ together.
   - 정직한 책임 관계를 맺고 있는지 확인하세요. 우리 중 누구도 혼자서 짐을 짊어지도록 만들어지지 않았습니다. 하나님은 우리가 그리스도의 종으로 서로를 진정으로 도울 수 있도록 일하시며 역사하십니다.

4. Embrace God’s Grace Through Spiritual Practices
   Stay under sound biblical teaching, participate in worship and sacraments, and maintain daily habits of Scripture reading and prayer. These practices will fill your heart with the truth found in Jesus.
   - 은혜의 수단을 적극 활용하세요. 좋은 설교를 듣고, 공동 예배와 성례에 참여하며, 매일 성경 읽기와 기도를 실천하세요. 풍성한 삶을 위해서는 예수 안에 있는 진리가 당신의 마음을 채워야 합니다.

5. Engage in Spiritual Warfare
   Stand firm against the enemy of your soul. Clothe yourself in Christ, arm yourself with faith and love, and resist the lies, temptations, and attacks of the enemy.
   - 당신의 영혼을 노리는 적과의 영적 전쟁을 수행하세요. 그리스도로 옷 입고, 믿음과 사랑이라는 하나님의 무기로 무장하세요. 원수의 거짓말, 정죄, 유혹, 공격에 맞서십시오.

6. Serve Others
   Use the gifts God has given you to help others. Shift your focus outward and do something constructive with your life today.
   - 하나님이 주신 은사를 통해 다른 사람을 섬기는 일에 열중하세요. 자기 자신을 벗어나 오늘 당신의 삶으로 건설적인 무언가를 하세요.

7. Rest in God’s Forgiveness
   Remember that you are God’s beloved child. Through the blood of Jesus, your sins are fully forgiven. The grace you’ve already received confirms that God is forever for you.
   - 당신이 하나님의 자녀로 받아들여졌으며, 예수님의 흘리신 피로 당신의 죄가 완전히 용서받았음을 기억하세요. 이미 이루어진 은혜(과거시제의 은혜)는 하나님이 영원히 당신 편에 계심을 확증합니다.

8. Depend on the Holy Spirit
   Pray for the Holy Spirit to guide and strengthen you so you can walk in God’s ways. God’s presence and grace are with you every day.
   - 하나님의 길을 따를 수 있도록 성령님을 주시기를 하나님께 구하세요. 오늘날의 은혜는 하나님이 당신과 함께 계시다는 현실 속에서 당신에게 매일 힘을 더해줍니다.

9. Hope in Future Grace
   Set your hope fully on the grace that will be revealed when Jesus Christ returns. This future promise empowers you to endure challenges, knowing God will fulfill His plans for you.
   - 예수 그리스도의 나타나심에 드러날 은혜에 당신의 소망을 온전히 두세요. 미래의 은혜는 고난 중에도 당신을 앞으로 나아가게 합니다. 하나님이 당신을 위해 오실 것이기 때문입니다.

13. 대림절 / Advent

이번주는 2024년 대림절 2번째 주간입니다. . 

대림절이란 크리스마스 전 4주간 예수의 성탄과 다시 오심을 기다리는 절기로, 대림시기, 대강절, 강림절 로도 불립니다.

대림절 기간에 신자는 3가지 질문을 갖고 있어야 합니다. 
“왜 예수님이 2000년전에 이땅에 오셨는가?
왜 예수님은 다시 오시겠다고 약속하셨는가?
예수님은 누구신가?”

    >>This week is the second week of Advent in 2024. .

Advent is the four-week season of waiting for the birth and return of Jesus before Christmas, also known as Advent, Adventuary, and Advent.

During Advent, believers should have two questions.
"Why did Jesus come to earth 2000 years ago,
Why did He promise to come again?
Who is Jesus?”

14. 예수님은 참 인간이시다.

>> Jesus as a true human being

“예수님이 참 인간이시다” 라는 것을 아는 것이 왜 중요한가?
>> Why is it important to know that Jesus is a true human being?

답: 그는 우리가 어떻게 살아가야 하는지에 대한 ( )이 되신다.

20. 예수님은 참 하나님이시다.

“ The Lord is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, abounding in love.
He will not always accuse, nor will he harbor his anger forever;”

30. 하나님은 신자의 ( )이시다.

사람들은 하나님을 보여달라고 합니다. 하나님을 보여주면 믿겠다고 말을 합니다.
하나님을 보여달라고 하는 사람들에게 예수님은 '나를 본 사람은 아버지를 보았다'고 대답하십니다.

예수를 믿고 죄용서를 받고 구원받아 천국가는 하나님의 백성으로 살아가는 것은 참으로 놀라운 것입니다. 그러나 진정한 감동은 하나님이 우리를 자녀 삼아주셨다는 것입니다. 오직 예수를 통하여 신자는 하나님을 아버지로 부르며 아버지의 자녀로 산 수 있다는 것입니다.
>> It is truly amazing to believe in Jesus, to be forgiven of our sins, to be saved, and to live as God's people in heaven. But the real thrill is that God has made us His children. Only through Jesus can believers call God their Father and live as His children.

31. 하나님을 ( ) 아버지라고 부를 수 있는 특권을 누리십시오.
>>Enjoy the privilege of calling God (Abba) Father.

신자는 예수님을 영접할 때 성령을 받습니다.

-성부 하나님은 사랑의 원천이요 출발이 되셔서, 성자 하나님을 사랑하시며 기뻐하셨습니다.
-성자 하나님은 그 사랑을 받고 기뻐하시면서 즐거움으로 반응하셨습니다.
-성령 하나님은 성부와 성자 하나님 사이의 사랑의 고리가 되셔서, 기쁨으로 성부와 성자가 교제할 수 있도록 교제의 영이 되셨습니다.
-God the Father was the source and originator of love, loving and rejoicing in God the Son.
-God the Son responded with joy as he received that love and rejoiced in it.
-God the Holy Spirit was the link of love between God the Father and God the Son, becoming the Spirit of fellowship so that God the Father and God the Son could fellowship in joy.

예수님의 죽음과 부활, 승천을 통해서 예수님의 제자들은 하나님 아버지에 대한 아들의 특권을 함께 누리게 됩니다.

예수님께서 아버지라고 부르시는 분을 신자들도 역시 아버지라고 부를 수 있습니다.

그래서 예수님은 기도를 가르치시면서 하나님을 '하늘에 계신 우리 아버지'라고 부르게 하셨습니다.

Through Jesus' death, resurrection, and ascension, Jesus' followers share in the privileges of sonship with God the Father.
The one Jesus calls Father, believers can also call Father.
That's why when Jesus taught prayer, he had us address God as "Our Father in heaven.

- (마 6:9, 새번역) “그러므로 너희는 이렇게 기도하여라. 하늘에 계신 우리 아버지, 그 이름을 거룩하게 하여 주시며,”

(Mt 6:9, NIV11) ““This, then, is how you should pray: “‘Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name,”     

34. 자녀됨의 복을 주신 예수님, 그 복을 누리게 하시는 성령님

>> Jesus, the giver of the blessing of childhood, and the Holy Spirit, the enabler of that blessing.

34-1 . 이러한 자녀됨의 복은 그리스도로 말미암아 주어진 것입니다.
예수 그리스도께서 십자가에서 성부 하나님께 버림받으심으로 신자가 성부 하나님께 받아들여졌습니다.

십자가에서 예수 그리스도는 성부 하나님을 아버지라고 부르지 못하시면서 죽으심으로 신자는 감히 하나님을 아버지라고 부르며 가까이 나아갈 수 있게 된 것입니다.

34-1. This blessing of sonship is given by Christ.
Jesus Christ was forsaken by God the Father on the cross so that the believer could be accepted by God the Father.

On the cross, Jesus Christ died, unable to call God the Father, so that the believer can dare to call God the Father and draw near.

(요 20:17, 새번역) “예수께서 마리아에게 말씀하셨다. "내게 손을 대지 말아라. 내가 아직 아버지께로 올라가지 않았다. 이제 내 형제들에게로 가서 이르기를, 내가 나의 아버지 곧 너희의 아버지, 나의 하나님 곧 너희의 하나님께로 올라간다고 말하여라."”

(Jn 20:17, NIV11) “Jesus said, “Do not hold on to me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father. Go instead to my brothers and tell them, ‘I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.’””

(히 2:11, 새번역) “거룩하게 하시는 분과 거룩하게 되는 사람들은 모두 한 분이신 아버지께 속합니다. 그러하므로 예수께서는 그들을 형제자매라고 부르시기를 부끄러워하지 않으셨습니다.”

(Heb 2:11, NIV11) “Both the one who makes people holy and those who are made holy are of the same family. So Jesus is not ashamed to call them brothers and sisters.”

34-2. 성령님은 성부 하나님과 성자 예수님 가운데 교제의 영이 되셔서 서로 사랑하게 하셨습니다.

그리하여 성령님은 신자와 성부 하나님 간에도 교제의 영이 되십니다. 신자에게 자녀된 신분을 주시는 분은 성자 하나님이신 예수님 이시지만, 하나님 아버지와의 관계에서 자녀됨을 경험하게 하는 교제를 누리게 하시는 분은 성령 하나님 이십니다.

>> 34-2. Thus, the Holy Spirit is the Spirit of fellowship between the believer and God the Father. It is God the Son, Jesus, who gives the believer the status of a child, but it is God the Holy Spirit who enables the believer to enjoy the fellowship that leads to the experience of childhood in relationship with God the Father.

(롬 8:15, 새번역) “여러분은 또다시 두려움에 빠뜨리는 종살이의 영을 받은 것이 아니라, 자녀로 삼으시는 영을 받았습니다. 그래서 우리는 그 영으로 하나님을 "아빠, 아버지"라고 부릅니다.”

35. [권면 / Message] 힘써 믿음 생활을 하십시오.
>> Make every effort to add to your faith

신자의 믿음생활은 하나님을 아빠 아버지로 부르며 아버지 앞에 가까이 나아가 ( )하며 자녀된 특권을 누리는 것이다.

>> The believer's life of faith is about calling God Father, drawing near to Him in ( ) and enjoying the privilege of being a child.

(빌 4:6-7, 새번역) “「6」 아무것도 염려하지 말고, 모든 일을 오직 기도와 간구로 하고, 여러분이 바라는 것을 감사하는 마음으로 하나님께 아뢰십시오.

40. 오늘의 결단과 헌신 / Today's Decision and Commitment

삶의 모든 자리에서 예수안에 거하게 하소서
삶의 모든 자리에서 예수를 바라보게 하소서
삶의 모든 자리에서 말씀과 기도와 찬양이 가득하게 하소서
Let me abide in Jesus in every part of my life
Let me behold Jesus in every part of my life
Let me be filled with the word, prayer, and praise in every part of my life

20. 대림절 / Advent

오늘 부터 2024년 대림절이 시작됩니다. 

대림절이란 크리스마스 전 4주간 예수의 성탄과 다시 오심을 기다리는 절기로, 대림시기, 대강절, 강림절 로도 불립니다. 12월 1일은 대림절(降臨節, Advent, Adventszeit)의 첫 주일입니다.

대림절 기간에 신자는 3가지 질문을 갖고 있어야 합니다. 
“왜 예수님이 2000년전에 이땅에 오셨는가?
왜 예수님은 다시 오시겠다고 약속하셨는가?
예수님은 누구신가?”

    >> Today marks the beginning of Advent 2024. Advent is the four weeks before Christmas when believers wait for the birth and return of Jesus.. December 1 is the first Sunday of Advent (降臨節, Advent, Adventszeit). 

During Advent, believers should have two questions.
"Why did Jesus come to earth 2000 years ago,
Why did He promise to come again?
Who is Jesus?”

21. 영광 Glory / Glory

이 질문에 답하기 위해서는 10월 부터 제가 전한 “복음”에 대한 메시지를 다시한번 정리하는 것이 필요합니다.

복음은 기쁜 소식 또는 좋은 소식이며, 바로 하나님의 ( )에 대한 이야기 입니다.  하나님의 복음에는 하나님의 영광의 ( )과 ( )이 분명히 나타나 있습니다.

The gospel is good news or glad tidings, the story of the ( ) of God.

23. 대림절은 #4와 관련이 있습니다.

#4. 왕이신 예수님께서 영광을 회복시킨다 / Jesus, the King, restores glory

(히 1:3, 새번역) “그는 하나님의 영광의 광채시요, 하나님의 본체대로의 모습이십니다. 그는 자기의 능력 있는 말씀으로 만물을 보존하시는 분이십니다. 그는 죄를 깨끗하게 하시고서 높은 곳에 계신 존엄하신 분의 오른쪽에 앉으셨습니다.”

(Heb 1:3, NIV11) “The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. After he had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven.”

복음(기쁜 소식)은 하나님께서 예수님을 통해 구원을 베푸시고 예수님을 온 만물의 왕으로 세우셔서 하나님의 영광을 회복하시도록 하셨다는 것입니다.

    >>>   The gospel (good news) is that God has provided salvation through Jesus and established Jesus as King of all creation to restore God's glory.

24. 이 땅에 오신 예수님 (성육신)

예수님은 누구십니까?
예수님은 어떤 삶을 사셨습니까?
>> Who is Jesus?
What kind of life did Jesus live?

예수님의 삶은 크게 3부분으로 나눌 수 있습니다
- 성육신, 죄에 대한 죽음, 왕권으로의 부활.
>> The life of Jesus can be broken down into three main parts
- his incarnation, death to sin, and resurrection to kingship.

[성육신] / [Incarnation]
1.예수님은 성자 하나님이시다.  / Pre-existed One as God the Son.
2.성부 하나님에 의해 보냄을 받으셨다. / Sent by God the Father.
3.하나님의 약속을 성취하기 위해 인간의 육신을 취하셨다. / God took on human flesh to fulfill God's promise. 

[죄에 대한 죽음] / [Death for sin]
4.성경에 따라 우리의 죄를 위해 죽으셨다. / He died for our sins according to the Bible.
5.무덤에 묻히셨다. / Buried in the grave

[왕권으로의 부활] / [Resurrection to kingship]
6.성경에 따라 사흘 만에 부활하셨다. / He was resurrected on the third day according to the Bible.
7.많은 증인들에게 나타나셨다. / He appeared to many witnesses.
8.통치하는 그리스도로서 하나님 우편 보좌에 오르셨다. / Ascended to the right hand of God as the reigning Christ.
9.그의 통치를 시행하기 위해 자신의 백성에게 성령을 보내셨다. / He sent the Holy Spirit to his people to enforce his rule.
10.최종 심판자로 다시 오셔서 통치하실 것이다. / He will come again to rule as the final judge.

25. 하나님 ( )의 삶 / Life in the ( ) of God

예수님의 성육신, 죄에 대한 죽음, 왕권으로의 부활에 대하여 깊이 이해할 때, 신자는 근본적으로 자신의 삶속에 예수를 바라보며 하나님 ( )의 삶을 시작하게 된다.

- What are the greatest benefits of living your faith?
What is eternal life? / What is the best blessing of believing in Jesus?
- Why is the gospel good news? Why is the gospel good?

Many people answer : "Because the gospel offers forgiveness of sins, because it saves us from hell and God's punishment, because it gives us the blessings of peace and joy, because it allows us to go to heaven.

이것들은 맞는 대답들이지만, 가장 중요한 대답은 아직 나오지 않았습니다. 그것이 무엇일까요?
>> These are good answers, but the most important one is yet to come: what is it?

32. [말씀 / Bible Verses]

(벧전 3:18) “그리스도께서도 죄를 사하시려고 단 한 번 죽으셨습니다. 곧 의인이 불의한 사람을 위하여 죽으신 것입니다. 그것은 그가 육으로는 죽임을 당하시고 영으로는 살리심을 받으셔서 여러분을 하나님 앞으로 인도하시려는 것입니다.

33. 궁극적인 복 / Ultimate blessing

복음은 신자를 하나님 앞으로 인도합니다. 그러므로 복음이 신자에게 주는 궁극적인 선, 즉 복음이 우리에게 주는 가장 좋은 선물은 “하나님 ( )”입니다. 

  >> The gospel brings the believer to God; therefore, the ultimate good the gospel brings to the believer-the greatest gift the gospel gives us - is "God himself."

34. 영생은 무엇입니까? / What is eternal life?

그래서 신자는 영생이 무엇인지를 분명히 알아야 합니다.
새번역 성경을 가지고 “영생”, “영원한 생명” 이라는 단어를 찾아보지 요한복음과 요한일서에 대부분(19번/29번)이 나와 있습니다.
사도요한에게 “영생”은 특별한 경험이었던 것 같습니다.
>> So the believer must have a clear understanding of what eternal life is.
Take your New International Version Bible and look up the words "eternal life" and "everlasting life." You'll find most of them in the Gospels of John and 1 John(19 times /29). For the apostle John, "eternal life" seems to have been a special experience.

35-1. 도전 Challenges

여러분의 영적인 특권(복)을 소홀히 여기지 않기를 바랍니다.
에서는 자신에게 주어진 맏아들의 권리를 소홀히 여겼습니다. 신자의 모습속에 에서와 같은 모습이 반복되고 있는 것은 참으로 안타까운 것입니다.
>> I don't want you to neglect your spiritual privileges (blessings). Esau neglected the firstborn rights that were given to him. What a shame to see Esau's behavior repeated in believers.

(창 25:29-34, 새번역) “「29」 한 번은, 야곱이 죽을 끓이고 있는데, 에서가 허기진 채 들에서 돌아와서,
「30」 야곱에게 말하였다. "그 붉은 죽을 좀 빨리 먹자. 배가 고파 죽겠다." 에서가 '붉은' 죽을 먹고 싶어 하였다고 해서, 에서를 에돔이라고도 한다.
「31」 야곱이 대답하였다. "형은 먼저, 형이 가진 맏아들의 권리를 나에게 파시오."
「32」 에서가 말하였다. "이것 봐라, 나는 지금 죽을 지경이다. 지금 나에게 맏아들의 권리가 뭐 그리 대단한 거냐?"

“(1) 보아스가 성문 위 회관으로 올라가서 앉아 있는데, 그가 말하던, 집안간으로서의 책임을 져야 할 바로 그 사람이 마침 지나가고 있었다. 보아스가 그에게 "여보시오, 이리로 좀 올라와서 앉으시오" 하고 말하였다. 그러자 그가 올라와서 앉았다.

(2) 보아스는 성읍 원로 열 사람을 청하여, 그 자리에 함께 앉도록 하였다. 그 사람들이 모두 자리에 와서 앉자

(3) 보아스가 집안간으로서 책임을 져야 할 사람에게 말하였다. "모압 지방에서 돌아온 나오미가 우리의 친족 엘리멜렉이 가지고 있는 밭을 팔려고 내놓았소.

Boaz said, “Come over here, my friend, and sit down.” So he went over and sat down. / *The Hebrew word for guardian-redeemer is a legal term for one who has the obligation to redeem a relative in serious difficulty (see Lev. 25:25-55); also in verses 3, 6, 8 and 14.

(2) Boaz took ten of the elders of the town and said, “Sit here,” and they did so.

(3) Then he said to the guardian-redeemer, “Naomi, who has come back from Moab, is selling the piece of land that belonged to our relative Elimelek.

(4) I thought I should bring the matter to your attention and suggest that you buy it in the presence of these seated here and in the presence of the elders of my people. If you will redeem it, do so. But if you* will not, tell me, so I will know. For no one has the right to do it except you, and I am next in line.” “I will redeem it,” he said. / *Many Hebrew manuscripts, Septuagint, Vulgate and Syriac; most Hebrew manuscripts he

(5) Then Boaz said, “On the day you buy the land from Naomi, you also acquire Ruth the Moabite, the* dead man’s widow, in order to maintain the name of the dead with his property.”

(6) At this, the guardian-redeemer said, “Then I cannot redeem it because I might endanger my own estate. You redeem it yourself. I cannot do it.””

〈룻 4:13-17〉

11. 전도는 복음으로 회복된 삶을 이야기하는 것으로 시작됩니다.

하나님의 사랑은 신자의 삶을 회복 시킵니다.

- 개인의 회복, 가정의 회복, 공동체의 회복, 피조물의 회복

>> God's love restores the believer's life.
- Personal restoration, Family restoration, Community restoration, Creation restoration

왕이신 예수님이 신자의 삶을 회복시킵니다. 나의 능력으로 회복될 수 없는 것같은 모습들이 회복됩니다.

>> Jesus, the King, restores the believer's life. Things that seem irreparable in my own power are restored by following Jesus.

12. 솔직하게 나누어야 합니다. 아직 완성되지 않았지만 계속 예수를 믿고 충성하고 있음을 나눕니다.

>> Be honest about it. Share that you're not finished yet, but that you continue to trust and be loyal to Jesus.

"예수님으로 인해 치유되고 회복된 자신의 경험을 이야합니다. 그렇지만 아직도 모든 것이 완벽하지 않다는 것을 알려주어야 합니다. 진정성이 중요합니다. 부끄럽게도 여전히 어려움을 겪고 있다는 것도 솔직하게 이야기 할 수 있어야 합니다. 왕이신 예수님께 충성(믿음, 피스티스)하는 것은 치유와 회복을 가져다 주지만 그것은 지속적인 과정이며 결코 쉽지 않은 싸움이라는 점도 나누어야 합니다. 때로는 발을 헛디딜 때도 있지만, 그럼에도 왕이신 예수님께 대한 충성은 신자가 계속해서 위로 올라가도록 신자를 몸부림치게 만든다는 점도 나누시길 바랍니다."

>> ""Talk about your own experience of being healed and restored by Jesus, but make sure to let them know that everything is still not perfect. Authenticity is important. You also need to be able to talk about the fact that you still struggle, even if it's embarrassing. Also share that loyalty (faith, pistis) to Jesus as King brings healing and restoration, but it's an ongoing process and it's never an easy battle - sometimes you'll stumble, but loyalty to Jesus as King compels the believer to keep moving upward."

20. 과연 나는 회복과 치유를 말할 수 있는가?

>> Am I able to speak of recovery and healing?

• 누군가에게 예수를 믿어 회복되고 치유되었다고 말하려면, 먼저 자신을 살펴보아야 합니다.

• 자신을 바라보는 관점, 변화를 바라보는 관점이 어떠한지를 먼저 살펴보아야 합니다.

  • If you want to tell someone that they've been restored and healed by believing in Jesus, you have to look at yourself first.

  • "Have you been restored and healed by believing in Jesus?"

  • You have to look at how you view yourself, how you view change.

  • How do you view yourself?

21. 예수를 메시아로 알아보지 못한 유대인들

>> Jews who didn't recognize Jesus as the Messiah

유대인들은 수백년을 메시야(그리스도)를 기다리고 있었다. 그러나 그들은 그 메시야를 알아보지 못했다.
>> The Jews had been waiting for the Messiah (Christ) for hundreds of years, but they didn't recognize him.

(요 1:6-11, 새번역) “「6」 하나님께서 보내신 사람이 있었다. 그 이름은 요한이었다.
「7」 그 사람은 그 빛을 증언하러 왔으니, 자기를 통하여 모든 사람을 믿게 하려는 것이었다.
「8」 그 사람은 빛이 아니었다. 그는 그 빛을 증언하러 왔을 따름이다.
「9」 참 빛이 있었다. 그 빛이 세상에 와서 모든 사람을 비추고 있다.
「10」 그는 세상에 계셨다. 세상이 그로 말미암아 생겨났는데도, 세상은 그를 알아보지 못하였다.
「11」 그가 자기 땅에 오셨으나, 그의 백성은 그를 맞아들이지 않았다.

(John 1:6-11, NIV11) “「6」 There was a man sent from God whose name was John.
「7」 He came as a witness to testify concerning that light, so that through him all might believe.
「8」 He himself was not the light; he came only as a witness to the light.
「9」 The true light that gives light to everyone was coming into the world.
「10」 He was in the world, and though the world was made through him, the world did not recognize him.
「11」 He came to that which was his own, but his own did not receive him.

「12」 그러나 그를 맞아들인 사람들, 곧 그 이름을 믿는 사람들에게는, 하나님의 자녀가 되는 특권을 주셨다.
「13」 이들은 혈통에서나, 육정에서나, 사람의 뜻에서 나지 아니하고, 하나님에게서 났다.

「12」 Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God -
「13」 children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God.
「14」 The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.”

22. 성경적인 관점을 가져야 합니다.

>> You need to have a biblical perspective.

유대인들의 실패는 그들의 관점이 성경적이지 않았기 때문입니다. 신자는 성경적인 관점을 가지는 것이 매우 중요합니다. 아무리 교회를 다닌다고 해도, 신자가 성경적인 관점을 가지지 못하면 자신에게 이루어지고 있는 회복과 치유를 볼 수 없게 됩니다.

>> The failure of the Jews was that their perspective was not biblical. It is very important for a believer to have a biblical perspective. It doesn't matter how much you go to church, if a believer doesn't have a biblical perspective, they won't be able to see the restoration and healing that is being done for them.

30.신자가 가져야하는 성경적인 관점은 예수를 바라보는 것입니다.

>> The biblical perspective a believer should have is to look to Jesus.

(히 12:1-2, 새번역) “「1」 그러므로 이렇게 구름 떼와 같이 수많은 증인이 우리를 둘러싸고 있으니, 우리도 갖가지 무거운 짐과 얽매는 죄를 벗어버리고, 우리 앞에 놓인 달음질을 참으면서 달려갑시다. 

「2」 믿음의 창시자요 완성자이신 예수를 바라봅시다. 그는 자기 앞에 놓여 있는 기쁨을 내다보고서, 부끄러움을 마음에 두지 않으시고, 십자가를 참으셨습니다. 그리하여 그는 하나님의 보좌 오른쪽에 앉으셨습니다.”

(Hebrews12:1-2, NIV11) “「1」 Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us,

「2」 fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.”

31. 신자에게는 무거운 짐과 얽매이는 죄가 있습니다.

- 열등감, 우울증, 수치심, 성인아이, 완벽주의, 용서하지 못함, 감사하지 못함

- Inferiority complex, depression, shame, adult child, perfectionism, unforgiveness, ungratefulness, unworthiness

지금 우리의 한 주간의 삶을 돌아보십시다. “나의 무거운 짐은 무엇이었는가? 나를 얽매고 있는 죄는 무엇이었는가?”
>> Let's take a look back at our week. "What was my heavy burden, what was the sin that bound me?"

32. “예수를 바라보는 관점”을 가져야 하는 이유

>> Why we need to have a "Jesus perspective"

믿음은 예수를 바라보는 것입니다. 믿음은 예수를 바라보고 그를 충성스럽게 따르는 것입니다. 그러므로 신자는 예수를 바라보는 관점, 즉 성경적인 관점을 계속 튼튼하게 세워가는 삶을 살아야 합니다.

왜냐하면 예수가 믿음이 무엇인지를 보여주신 “믿음의 창시자”이며, 예수가 믿음의 길이 어떠한 모습으로 열매맺는 가를 보여주신 “믿음의 완성자”이시기 때문입니다.

믿음의 시작이 무엇인지를 알려면 예수의 삶을 보아야 합니다.
믿음의 완성이 무엇인지를 알려면 예수의 삶을 보아야 합니다.

>> Faith is looking to Jesus, and faith is looking to Jesus and following him loyally. Therefore, the believer must live a life that continually builds on the biblical perspective of Jesus, because Jesus is the "author of faith" who showed us what faith is, and Jesus is the "finisher of faith" who showed us what the path of faith looks like.

To know what the beginning of faith is, we must look to the life of Jesus.
To know what the consummation of faith is, we must look to the life of Jesus.

33. 예수님의 삶 / The Life of Jesus

[I.성육신] / [Incarnation].

1.예수님은 성자 하나님으로 선재하셨다. /Jesus was pre-existent as God the Son.

2.예수님은 성부 하나님에 의해 보냄을 받으셨다. / Jesus was sent by God the Father.

3.다윗에게 하신 하나님의 약속을 성취하기 위해 예수님은 인간의 육신을 취하셨다. / To fulfill God's promise to David, Jesus took on human flesh.

[II. 죄에 대한 죽음] / [Death for sin].

4.그는 성경에 따라 우리의 죄를 위해 죽으셨다. / He died for our sins according to the Bible.

5.그는 무덤에 묻히셨다. /He was buried in the grave.

[III. 통치를 위한 부활] / [ise to Rule].

6.그는 성경에 따라 사흘 만에 부활하셨다. / He was resurrected on the third day according to the Bible.

7.부활하신 예수님은 많은 증인들에게 나타나셨다. / The resurrected Jesus appeared to many witnesses.

8.그는 통치하는 왕으로서 하나님 우편 보좌에 오르셨다. / He ascended to the throne at the right hand of God as a reigning king.

9.그는 자신의 통치를 시행하기 위해 그의 백성에게 성령을 보내셨다. / He sent the Holy Spirit to his people to enforce his rule.

10.그는 최종 심판자로 다시 오셔서 통치하실 것이다. / He will return and reign as the final judge.

예수님의 성육신, 죄에 대한 죽음, 왕권으로의 부활에 대한 신학을 탐구할 때, 우리는 근본적으로 복음이 필요한 이유를 발견하게 됩니다. 피조 세계는 하나님의 설계에 따라 다스릴 인간들을 필요로 하기에, 복음은 온전한 통치를 위해 태어난 “한 인간”이라는 선물로 시작됩니다. 다시 말해, 복음은 왕의 성육신에서 시작됩니다.

>> When we explore the theology of Jesus' incarnation, death to sin, and resurrection to kingship, we discover why we fundamentally need the gospel. Because the created world needs humans to rule according to God's design, the gospel begins with the gift of "one human" born for full dominion. In other words, the gospel begins with the incarnation of a king.

40. 신자는 힘써 예수를 바라보아야 합니다.

>>As a believer, you must keep your eyes on Jesus.

(요 1:37-39, 새번역) “「37」 그 두 제자는 요한이 하는 말을 듣고, 예수를 따라갔다.
「38」 예수께서 돌아서서, 그들이 따라오는 것을 보시고 물으셨다. "너희는 무엇을 찾고 있느냐?" 그들은 "랍비님, 어디에 묵고 계십니까?" 하고 말하였다. '랍비'는 '선생님'이라는 말이다.
「39」 예수께서 그들에게 대답하셨다. "와서 보아라." 그들이 따라가서, 예수께서 묵고 계시는 곳을 보고, 그 날을 그와 함께 지냈다. 때는 오후 네 시 쯤이었다. '”

(John 1:37-39, NIV11) “「37」 When the two disciples heard him say this, they followed Jesus.
「38」 Turning around, Jesus saw them following and asked, “What do you want?” They said, “Rabbi” which means “Teacher”, “where are you staying?”
「39」 “Come,” he replied, “and you will see.” So they went and saw where he was staying, and they spent that day with him. It was about four in the afternoon.”

41. 예수를 처음으로 따랐던 제자들의 예

>> Examples of Jesus' first followers.

예수님의 사역초기에 두 사람이 예수님을 따르기 시작했습니다. 그들은 예수님의 길을 따르기 위해서는 예수의 삶 전체를 보고 경험하고자 했습니다. 성경은 예수를 믿는 신자들에게 이들의 삶을 모범으로 제시하고 있는 것입니다.

>> Early in Jesus' ministry, two men began to follow him. They wanted to see and experience the whole of Jesus' life in order to follow his way. The Bible presents their lives as examples for believers in Jesus.

42. 인격적 변화 / Personality changes

인격적인 변화는 예수님의 제자가 되려는 의지를 가지고 예수님께 다가갈 때 시작됩니다. 워십프론티어교회의 신자들은 성경말씀 속에서 예수님의 생애를 살펴보면서 예수를 따라야 합니다.

>> Personal transformation begins when we approach Jesus with the intention of becoming his disciple. Believers at WorshipFrontier Church are encouraged to follow Jesus by examining His life in the Bible.

43. 성경 대로 / As the Bible says

성경에서 보여주는 예수를 따르겠다는 의도와 목적을 가지고 예수를 바라보는 것이 중요합니다.

>> It's important to look at Jesus with the intention and purpose of following him as shown in the Bible.

그렇게 하지 않으면, 우리는 우리가 원하는 예수님만을 찾게 될 것입니다. 즉 우리의 변화를 요구하지 않는 예수님만을 찾게 될 것입니다. 그러한 삶은 따르는 삶이 아니라 예수를 이용하는 삶이라고 할 수 있습니다. 그리하여 결국 예수님을 우리가 가지고 있는 무거운 짐속에 그리고 우리의 얽매이는 죄속으로 다시 묻어버리게 될 것입니다.

>> If we don't, we'll only find the Jesus we want, the Jesus who doesn't require us to change. That's not a life of following, it's a life of using Jesus, and we'll end up burying him back under the heavy burdens we carry and the sins that bind us.

44. 관계적 지혜와 제자 만들기

>> 44. Relational Wisdom and Disciple Making

변화될 준비가 된 마음으로 예수님을 바라볼 때 신자는 규칙을 배우는 것이 아니라 관계적 지혜를 발견하게 될 것입니다. 예수님께 관계적 지혜를 훈련받기 시작할 때, 예수님의 제자로서의 삶을 시작하게 되는 것입니다.
>> When a believer looks to Jesus with a heart ready to be transformed, he or she will see relational wisdom, not rules. When we begin to be trained in relational wisdom by Jesus, we begin to live as disciples of Jesus.

그리하여, 삶의 모든 동기가 예수님과의 관계속에서 다시 해석되고 출발하게 되는 삶을 살게 되는 것입니다. 오늘 나와 예수님과의 관계를 다시 생각해 보고 예수를 온전히 바라보겠다는 결단을 하시길 바랍니다.
>> And so, you live a life in which every motivation in your life is reinterpreted and set in motion by your relationship with Jesus. I encourage you to reexamine your relationship with Jesus today and make a commitment to see Jesus fully.

[50. 삶에 적용하며 헌신하는 기도] Prayers to apply to your life

오늘 말씀을 듣고 삶에 적용며 헌신 할 것을 주님께 고백하고 도움을 구하시길 바랍니다.

I encourage you to confess and ask the Lord for help to hear the Word today, apply it to your life, and make a commitment.

(롬 12, 새번역) “「1」 형제자매 여러분, 그러므로 나는 하나님의 자비하심을 힘입어 여러분에게 권합니다. 여러분의 몸을 하나님께서 기뻐하실 거룩한 산 제물로 드리십시오. 이것이 여러분이 드릴 합당한 예배입니다.
「2」 여러분은 이 시대의 풍조를 본받지 말고, 마음을 새롭게 함으로 변화를 받아서, 하나님의 선하시고 기뻐하시고 완전하신 뜻이 무엇인지를 분별하도록 하십시오.

「21」 악에게 지지 말고, 선으로 악을 이기십시오.”

(Romans 12, NIV11) “「1」 Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God - this is your true and proper worship.
「2」 Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is - his good, pleasing and perfect will.

「3」 For by the grace given me I say to every one of you: Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment, in accordance with the faith God has distributed to each of you.
「4」 For just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function,
「5」 so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others.
「6」 We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us. If your gift is prophesying, then prophesy in accordance with your faith;
「7」 if it is serving, then serve; if it is teaching, then teach;
「8」 if it is to encourage, then give encouragement; if it is giving, then give generously; if it is to lead, do it diligently; if it is to show mercy, do it cheerfully.

「9」 Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good.
「10」 Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves.
「11」 Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord.
「12」 Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.
「13」 Share with the Lord’s people who are in need. Practice hospitality.
「14」 Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse.
「15」 Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn.
「16」 Live in harmony with one another. Do not be proud, but be willing to associate with people of low position. Do not be conceited.

「17」 Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everyone.
「18」 If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.
「19」 Do not take revenge, my dear friends, but leave room for God’s wrath, for it is written: “It is mine to avenge; I will repay,” says the Lord.
「20」 On the contrary: “If your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink. In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head.”
「21」 Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.”

10. 3가지 측면의 좋은 소식

- 과거에 대한 좋은 소식 : 세상을 완전히 바꾸어 놓은 예수님과 관련된 사건들 - 구원자, 왕
- 미래에 대한 좋은 소식 : 예수님과 함께 시작될 일이 완성됨으로써 모든 창조세계가 하나님의 강력한 사랑과 의를 축하하고 예배하는 날이 올것이라는 약속
- 현재에 대한 좋은 소식 : 치유와 변화는 이 세상과 개인들의 삶에서 지금 일어날 수 있고 일어나고 있다는 사실

>> 11. Aspects of good news

- good news about the past: events related to Jesus that changed the world forever - Savior, King
- good news about the future: the promise of a day when all of creation will celebrate and worship God's powerful love and righteousness as the work begun with Jesus is completed
- Good news for the present: the fact that healing and transformation can and is happening right now in this world and in individual lives

11. 좋은 소식 (로마서를 중심으로) / The Good News (centered on the book of Romans)

- 신자는 어디를 향하여 나아가고 있는가?
- 로마서에서 좋은 소식은 희생 제사보다는 대관식에 가깝게 선포된다.

: 믿음의 사람들은 희생 제사를 드리러 가는 행렬에 속한 것이 아니라, 메시아 즉 기름부음을 받은 왕(다윗의 보좌에 앉을 분)의 대관식을 향하여 가는 것이다. (롬 1:3-4)

>> Where is the believer headed?
The good news in Romans is proclaimed more like a coronation than a sacrifice.

: Believers are not part of a procession to a sacrifice, but rather to the coronation of the Messiah, the anointed king (the one who will sit on David's throne). (Romans 1:3-4

20. 회복을 일으키는 하나님의 사랑

왕이신 예수님께 충성하는 신자는 회복을 일으키는 하나님의 사랑을 전해야 합니다.
인간으로 태어난 우리 모두가 겪는 상태는 하나님의 통치에 순복하기보다 도리어 자신의 삶에 스스로 왕이 되기를 바라는 상태입니다. 그리고 이로 인해 우리는 우리 자신과 피조 세계, 그리고 하나님을 불명예스럽게 만들고 있습니다.
>> As believers loyal to Jesus as King, we are to share God's restorative love. The condition we are all born into as human beings is one in which we would rather be kings over our own lives than submit to God's rule. And in doing so, we dishonor ourselves, the created world, and God.

하나님은 사랑으로, 아름다움과 진리로 가득한 좋은 세상을 창조하셨습니다. 하나님은 인간들을 가리켜 “참 좋다”라고 말씀하시며 그들에게 하나님의 형상을 지닌 자로서 특별한 역할을 부여하셨습니다. 그러나 하나님의 형상을 지녔음에도 우리 스스로의 명예를 훼손하고 심지어 피조 세계에도 해를 끼친 인간의 혐오스러운 선택들이 이어졌습니다. 그럼에도 하나님께서는 죄를 미워하시되 사람을 미워하시진 않았습니다. 오히려 예수님은 하나님을 떠난 사람을 위해 십자가에서 고난을 당하심으로 헤아릴 수 없는 새로운 사랑의 깊이를 보여주셨습니다. 십자가 위에서 하나님은 인간들을 위해 당신을 쏟아부으시는 사랑의 성품을 가장 온전히 드러내셨습니다.
>> God created a good world, full of love, beauty, and truth. God looked at humans and said, "Very good," and gave them a special role as image-bearers of God. But even as image-bearers, we have made abhorrent choices that have dishonored ourselves and even harmed the created world. And yet, while God hates sin, he does not hate people. Rather, Jesus showed us a new, unfathomable depth of love by suffering on the cross for those who have turned away from God. On the cross, God most fully revealed the character of His love, pouring Himself out for humanity.

하나님은 정말로 여러분과 저를 위한 분이십니다.
저와 여러분은 복음의 은혜를 받을 자격이 전혀 없습니다. 그런데도 하나님의 사랑은 십자가와 부활의 선물로 끝나지 않았습니다. 하나님은 우리를 너무나 사랑하셔서 영원히 살아서 다스리실 왕을 선물로 주셨고, 그 왕권에 복종하여 변화되도록 우리를 초대하셨습니다. 그렇다면 우리 역시도 예수님과 같이 영광스러운 왕권을 가진 제자가 될 수 있습니다. 하나님의 사랑은 저와 여러분으로 하여금 왕이신 예수를 향해 나아가게 하셔서 저와 여러분이 예수님의 왕권에 기꺼이 응답하여 순종하며 섬기며 사랑할 수 있도록 만듭니다.
>> God really is for you and me. You and I are completely undeserving of the grace of the gospel, but God's love didn't end with the gift of the cross and resurrection. God loves us so much that he gave us the gift of a king who will live and reign forever, and he invites us to submit to that kingship and be transformed so that we, too, can become disciples with a glorious kingship like Jesus. God's love draws me and you toward Jesus, the King, so that I and you can willingly respond to Jesus' kingship, obeying, serving, and loving.

31. 개인 간증은 이렇게 하시는 것이 좋습니다.

예수님으로 인하여 회복된 모습을 먼저 앞세워 이야기 하지 않기를 바랍니다.

왜냐하면 현재 회복된 모습은 완성된 모습이 아니기 때문입니다. 구원은 예수님을 영접함으로 하나님의 자녀가 되는 것으로 시작됩니다. 그러나 구원은 왕이신 예수님께 지속적인 충성을 통하여 변화되고 회복되는 지속적인 과정으로 신자를 이끌기 때문입니다. 그 변화의 과정을 통해 하나님은 계속해서 우리를 향한 하나님의 사랑과 신자의 영광된 모습을 계속 보여주시고 이끌어 가시기 때문입니다.

>> We don't want to talk about what Jesus has restored first, because what we are now is not the finished product. Salvation begins with becoming a child of God by receiving Jesus, but salvation leads the believer into an ongoing process of being transformed and restored through continued allegiance to Jesus as King. Through that process of transformation, God continues to show us God's love for us and continues to draw us into the glorified image of the believer.

"예수님으로 인해 승리한 개인의 경험을 증언(간증)할 때는 모든 것이 여전히 완벽하지 않다는 것을 알려주세요. 진정성이 중요합니다. 부끄럽게도 여전히 어려움을 겪고 있는 부분에 대해서 솔직하게 이야기 하세요. 왕을 위해 내 자신을 죽일 때 진정으로 풍성한 삶을 되찾게 되지만, 그것은 결코 편안하거나 쉬운 일이 아님을 알려주세요.

또한 충성은 진정한 치유를 가져다주지만, 그것은 지속적인 과정이며 결코 쉽지 않은 싸움이라는 점을 강조하세요. 때로는 발을 헛디딜 때도 있다고요. 그럼에도 왕이신 예수님께 대한 충성은 우리가 계속해서 위로 올라가도록 우리를 몸부림치게 만든다는 점을 꼭 덧붙이세요."

>> "When you give a testimony of your personal experience of victory over Jesus, let them know that everything is still not perfect. Authenticity is important. Be honest about the areas where you still struggle, even if it's embarrassing. Let them know that when we die to self for the King, we find true abundant life, but it's never comfortable or easy.

Emphasize that loyalty brings true healing, but it's an ongoing process and never an easy battle. Sometimes we stumble, but our loyalty to Jesus, the King, keeps us moving upward."

33. 왜 복음이 필요할까요? 왜 복음을 전해야 하나요?

하나님은 끝없는 사랑으로 우리에게 복음을 주셨습니다. 왕이신 예수님만이 홀로 하나님께서 주신 우리의 영광을 회복시키실 수 있습니다. 그리고 예수님을 통해 우리는 그 영광을 온누리에 전달할 수 있게 됩니다. 그렇지만 왕이신 예수님은 회복 그 이상의 일을 하십니다. 예수님은 우리와 피조 세계의 영광을 드높여 주십니다. 그 원천은 하나님이시기에 그렇게 드높여진 영광은 궁극적으로 하나님의 영광을 드높입니다.

왜 복음이 필요할까요? 하나님의 영광이 온 땅에 넘치고 하나님의 나라가 온전히 세워지기 위해서 왕이신 예수님을 하나님은 보내주셨습니다. 영광을 회복시키는 왕, 예수 그리스도를 영원히 찬양합시다.

>> Why do we need the gospel? Why do we need to share the gospel? God gave us the gospel out of His endless love. Jesus, the King, alone can restore our God-given glory, and through Jesus, we are empowered to share that glory with the world. But Jesus, the King, does more than restore. He exalts our glory and the glory of the created world, and because its source is God, that exalted glory ultimately exalts God's glory. Why do we need the gospel? God sent Jesus, the King, so that God's glory would overflow the earth and God's kingdom would be fully established. Let us praise Jesus Christ, the glory-restoring King, forever and ever.
