How to read 1 Timothy

While a solo performance can be amazing, there’s a unique richness expressed by a symphony of many artists and instruments flowing together under a master conductor. Each of us has an instrument to play. Together in the church we create an incredible expression of who God is when we play in harmony with one another! What you’re about to read is like a conductor’s handbook. It summarizes guidelines for running a church, offering practical help to believers in their relationships with each other, with church leaders, and with the world around them.

Who wrote this book and when?
Paul, the apostle, wrote it sometime shortly after he was released from imprisonment in Rome, probably around ad 63–65.

**언약결혼식 예식사 :

아주 먼 옛날, 세상 사람들이 알아주지도 인정해 주지도 않는 사랑을 위해 자신의 모든 것을 희생한 바보 사랑이 있었습니다. 결국, 그 사랑 때문에 많은 사람들이 생명을 얻어서 행복하게 되었습니다. 알아주지도 않고 무시당했던 그 사랑이 그런 위대한 일을 이룬 것입니다. 바로 예수그리스도의 사랑입니다. 오늘 이 자리에도 서로를 향해 그 바보사랑을 결심한 두 사람이 있습니다. 서로를 위해서 자신의 행복을 위해 준비해왔던 모든 것들을 상대의 행복을 위해 다 희생하기로 약속하며 헌신을 결심한 순결한 예수그리스도의 제자 신부와 신랑입니다. 오늘 우리 모두는 이 두 사람에게 최고의 축복을 보내려합니다.

이 사실을 통해 우리의 결혼 역시 결혼 당사자인 신랑신부 두 사람이 하나님과 맺는 언약임을 깨닫게 됩니다. 그래서 하나님께서는 신랑신부와 결혼언약을 맺을 때 그들을 축복하셔서 두 사람이 신의를 저버리지 않도록 도와주시며 배우자를 통해서 하나님의 신실하심을 두 사람이 부부로 살아가는 인생가운데 선명하게 나타내주십니다.

"A family that fulfills God's promises"

Covenant Wedding Message :

A long, long time ago, there was a foolish love who sacrificed everything he had for a love that the world did not recognize or appreciate. In the end, because of that love, many people were saved and made happy. That love, which was unrecognized and ignored, accomplished such great things-the love of Jesus Christ. Today, there are two people in this room who have decided to do the same for each other. A bride and groom, both chaste disciples of Jesus Christ, who have made a commitment to each other, promising to sacrifice everything they have for their own happiness for the sake of the other. Today, we all want to send our best blessings to these two.

From Genesis to Revelation, the eternal covenant of a holy God and his people is associated with the marriage covenant of a husband and wife. So marriage is the act of agreeing to establish a new relationship with God in a holy and eternal covenant. Marriage is a covenant, which is distinct from a vow (contract) because it requires dying to self and sacrificing oneself. So it is clear that marriage is fundamentally a covenant with God, just as God and Israel are covenantal, and Christ and the church are covenantal. The family, the couple, is the first divine institution established in covenant with God.

From this fact, we realize that our marriage is also a covenant between the two parties, the bride and groom, and God. So when God enters into a marriage covenant with the bride and groom, He blesses them, helps them to remain faithful, and demonstrates God's faithfulness through their spouse in their life together as a couple.

Today, the couple in this covenant wedding ceremony should remember that marriage is a covenant between them and God, and God has promised to help them keep this covenant at all times, so God has already declared that he will bless the family of faith that they are building together and protect their home. In fulfillment of that promise, we all bless and look forward to the fulfillment of heavenly blessings on the bride and groom, the family of faith that they are building together as husband and wife.

-For two people to love unconditionally, the bride and groom, Yehan and Sunny, must rely on the supernatural power of God's presence and help. So God, our holy Heavenly Father, has clearly taught us the principles of love that a husband and wife who have been paired together must practice and maintain throughout their lives.

The principles of love to be practiced and maintained throughout life are to honor and serve. Love is an action; it is a verb and requires action. Love is not a feeling; it is a recognition in the heart that we respect and cherish one another, and then we act to serve. A covenant marriage is a union of the heart in which two become one; a covenant marriage is a union of life in which two become one flesh.

In a covenant, two people promise to give their love and loyalty to their spouse with their lives until the day they die. Do the bride and groom believe this to be true? (Yes)

Now, then, do you, Brother and Sister , who are to become husband and wife, decide to enter into a covenant of marriage before God, the Lord of your home, according to His word, a covenant to be kept for the rest of your lives? (Yes)
